I have pretty much decided on a jl 500/5 five channel amp for my vibe. It's kind of pricey. A more reasonably priced amp is the boss 935 five channel but I know nothing about this product. Anyone have any experience with either of these amps? or any other 5 channel with a remote for the sub as I am going to utilize the factory radio. I want this installed no later than the 16th of Feb so I'm pretty close to making a final decision. This will ultimately power two Sony xplodes and two blaupuncts in the door along with the factory tweeter...plus I have boston tweeters that I will also install and a jl ten inch sub.
JL will rock the free world, but I agree with dsegundo. Why one when two is sweeter? I've got the JL 300/4 that fits snugly under the driver seat, and a Lightning Audio 350 Watt Mono amp for my subs...But yeah.. JL over Boss, most likely..

I don't know Boss... But JL are rock silod and very reliable.Plus their sound is awesome.I'm not a big fan of 5 channel amp. More channel you have, less kick you will get.I don't know why, but a 2 channels amp, driving 2x200W will kick more then a 4 channel amp who give you 4x100W or 2x200w bridged. This should have something to do with the internal dising of he 4 channel amp. The very best way to go is a 4 channels amp for the doors and a 1 or 2 channels for he sub.PLyus with 2 amps, if you drestroy one (which I doubt with JL product) you still have the other one working.
one ten inch is plenty for the TIGHT bass I want plus...the trunk area is pretty small and I need my golf clubs to fit in the back with the sub and amp. Thanks to everyone.Oh yea...the vibe I bought was the Vibe at the K.C. auto show in 2003.
