I took it to the dealer yesterday and they said no problem it is covered by warranty and they would give me a replacement vehicle while they fixed it. I was a little shocked, I didn't even have to put up a fight.

I traded in my first new car, a 1990 Honda Civic hatchback(284,000km). What a great car. I only had to replace a thermostat in 12 years! It still ran great, just needed more room for the kids.

I just wanted to add my 2 cents. I use a pair of those rubber dishwashing gloves to loosen and tighten the oil filter. The rubber gives great gripping power especially when your hands are in an awkward position.

The oil filter is easy to get at (unlike most cars) and unscrews vertically which is good because when you unscrew it the oil drips straight down. I hope everyone who is unhappy with these tires has complained to GM. It may not help us but future owners may benefit. I just read today that GM has hired a Toyota Exec. to help increase quality so they must care a little.

Manual shifting not always smooth

From time to time shifting becomes a bit of a struggle. For example, if I'm going from 2nd to 3rd, I have to push up once to get out of 2nd then give an extra push to get it into 3rd. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I've noticed a ticking noise when I listen to engine idling. I don't know if this is what it's supposed to sound like with this type of engine. I was expecting a smoother sounding engine. I have put on 6800 miles.

I ended up buying a pick-up stotage container that normally would sit on the cab of a pick-up truck. Other containers seemed to big. Hey Salsa, I was able to get the "in stock" discount and still order my vehicle. It worked out to be about 5%. I was told they weren't offering the "factory order" discount which is closer to 10%.

There are now adapters that plug into your typical car power outlet and convert it to a standard 2 prong outlet. They cost between $40-60(Cdn) if you find you would like this Vibe feature in your other vehicles.
