Wife reports a weird deal when trying to astart her car sometimes (2004 Vibe).
The interior/dash lights start flashing on and off, on and off.
Is this some sort of alert code or trouble deal?

What tha heck is up with the doors not opening?

A used 2004- right after we got it in 2008, the rear passenger door could not be opened from the outside. Locked or unlocked didn't matter. Now, the driver's side rear is doing the same durn thing. You can get it open if you do it from the inside while pulling on the outside...AND now the front drive...

Re: (Sublimewind)

I bet you could very well be right...all i am sure of, it wasn't working and now it is...sometimes that's good enough for me.bull, I don't remember the exact voltages, but probably around 10-11 if the bulb is to give light.

bull... I finally fixed mine, but the "fix" is gonna sound odd. I took the drvs side bulb out then inserted some spade terminals to make it easier to hook a meter to...used the upper slot (which I think is the ground slot) as a reference and check the voltages with the headlights on.I then...

Still trying to figure out the dead light...

Couple of months ago I posted about the driver's side low beam light being dead. I've checked and tested and can't find the problem...BUT the other day, we saw another Vibe around town and it had the SAME light out.So, there is more than just us having this problem. How can we cross-check to see if t...

"did you use aftermarket bulbs?"Yes, I got the 8-9$ ones at Walmart...but I cannot find a burned filament in the one I took out."check the fuses?"No. Does it have a seperate fuse for the left front low-beam?(that's kinda what my original post was asking...)"check the harness...

Drvs side low-beam is out

I have replaced the bulb. It's still out. All other headlights work fine, just the drivers side low beam doesn't.Talk in another thread is that there is a seperate relay for low-beams; that work each side individually...anyone sure about that?and where it is?

Re: Left headlight acting stupid... (keithvibe)

I know- mee too... I haven't tried swapping sides of the bulb because I went straight for a brand new bulb... but the left low beam is still out. I guess I'll meter it out and see if I can find an open in the low beam wiring.I came here in the hopes that it was common enough that someone (factory or...

Re: Left headlight acting stupid... (keithvibe)

After a bit more checking, it's only the low beam that's out.btw, the headlight 'burning' might be a term that is too old for you.So I'm showing my age, big-whoop. You are too.

recirculate flap motor - gear issue- SOLUTION.

Well, I had the issue with the recirculate flap door "thunking" when I shut MAX A/C off... Lots of good info about how to correct this in the forum, so I decided to take the motor out and rotate the gear 180 degrees...problem was getting the motor out.Decided to take the radio out and did,...

Quote, originally posted by prathman »I wouldn't recommend leaving it in the 'Max AC' (i.e. recirculate) position. Re: (joatmon)

Thanks jm... I pulled the glove box door and saw exactly what's happening. When I shut off the Max A/C button, the foam covered door gets closed and then pops back open and snaps shut over and over.I pulled the electrical plug and now it physically stays in Max A/C mode all the time, but at least we...

Odd deal with Max A/C

2004 we jsut bought 6 weeks ago... have learned that when the Max A/C button is disengaged, just about the time you would think the door should be closing to the outside, there starts a 'thumping' noise under the right side of the dash.It sounds like someone flipping the lid of a spring-loaded plast...
