Thanks for the reply. It must be leaking into the body panels somewhere. I don't see any leaks in the engine compartment, hood, or around the hatch where the rear spray is located. I'm not thrilled about the dealership disassembling my car. I doubt they are excited about this either. Now I'm worried...

The Vibe has a timing chain which generally requires no maintenance and doesn't need to be changed. My last vehicle had a timing chain & ran well for 15 yrs without any problem.

For almost 20 yrs I drove a small truck [S-10 & Sonoma]. Several times I borrowed a Civic & felt like my backside was going to scrape the pavement. I don't feel like that in the Vibe. I really like this car and I'm getting much higher mpg.Go for a test drive!

Yes, I'm working on this already. On a recent hwy trip I went from 32 mpg to 37 mpg just by slowing to 65 mph [70 mph limit] and pressing the tires to the sidewall max.Nikki
