Windshield washer fluid system leak - 2007 Vibe

Post by stealth »

The dealership replaced the reservoir, but the system still leaks. I took it in yesterday so they could fill & mark the fluid level and returned this morning to show them that the level has dropped about an inch in the fill tube in 24 hours. This is a warranty issue that the dealership should repair, but on my previous visits they can't seem to find the leak. Any suggestions to help me find the leak? This is getting old. Thanks!

as long as you remember not to use it, u could try putting a dye in there and park it on the street so when you get out there the following morning you can see about where the leak is coming from to give you a starting point. the dye could help you find the leak better once you start looking in the engine bay or body panel area.

Thanks for the reply. It must be leaking into the body panels somewhere. I don't see any leaks in the engine compartment, hood, or around the hatch where the rear spray is located. I'm not thrilled about the dealership disassembling my car. I doubt they are excited about this either. Now I'm worried about rust from water in body panels and possible mold in the car.
