i removed the resonators on my 04 vibe and replaced them with a small glass pack of course im also running a vibrant metal core cat and vibrant tpv turbo muffler but it sounds pretty good the exhuast itself doesnt resonate too bad and it sounds more like a modded 2L car than a 1.8

If you are planning on a highy modded NA 1zz would larger injectors be beneficial? and do they just bolt right on in place of the stock units? i am planning on about every bolt-on known to man and maybe even some internal head work and probably be using the Unichip. any opinions on this?

just got all my decals in from grafxwerks will install them first sunny day off. have pics coming then also. ordered vibe decal overlays, pontiac symbol overlay, rear hatch "pontiac" overlay, flame exhuast overlay, flame overlays for behind the vibe badges, and last but not least 2 genvibe...

i agree if you can do both at the same time you will notice a bigger difference. i done my exhuast first with a flowmaster and just a drop in k&n and then changed my exhuast around twice and finally settled and got the intake. the intake made a big difference down low and it seems to rev smoothe...

just be careful if you have an aftermarket intake that has an exposed filter you really dont wanna get it wet or get that tire foam on it . i imagine it would be a pain to get off of filter material and might possibly get sucked in the engine

if you were wanting to change transmissions it might be easier ( not necessarily cheaper) to find a wrecked one and take engine, tranny, and all cause you will also need a new ecu and other electrical connections

i once passed an older couple in a vibe towing a pop-up camper that was easily twice the size of the car. all i could think of was a chihuaha trying to pull a bull mastiff. it looked so pitiful i felt sorry for the car i would hate to see what happened if they hit an incline

heh just ordered decal overlays, badge overlay, exhuast flames, badge flames and rear decklid badging all in dark metallic blue. hopefully they offset the silver color and the silver flames on the headlights and rear quarter windows

the interior resonance is a little louder than i would like but suprisingly where i kept the pipes to only a quarter inch larger than stock it has a real deep tone down low and a nice sharp bark above 4000rpm.

yeah im sure a dual 2" or single 2.5" would be more than enough on most smaller standard displacement engines they dont flow enough air for the piping to play any major role in power most of your gains are from the bends and from the muffler and cats. i can tell you i have a 94 ram with a ...
