actually on this topic i happen to pickup evo magazine and top gear magazine quite often( these are both british car mags) and i happened to notice in the back of one they have a complete breakdown of car models and toyota sells a car called the verso in europe which is plainly just a rebadged vibe not even a matrix but a straight copy of the vibe. anyway one of the engine options in this car is a 2.2 liter turbodeisel. now dont laugh i know an oil burner but this little engine makes 185 hp and a whopping 295 pd ft of torque. can you imagine one of these engines in an awd vibe with a manual trans and a few mods making like 275-300hp and 500+ pdft of torque

I'm sorry to be the one, but that is not a vibe at all :/. It has some similar body queues but it is not a rebadged vibe. If that car is made off of the corolla plat form, then you could swap an engine with ecm etc. but man is that going to be a lot of work. This is the "uk matrix" = aurishttp://www.toyota.co.uk/cgi-bi...=Mall

how can that be closer to the vibe when it doesnt even appear to carry any similar body panels while the verso has a clearly recognizable greenhouse. actually i must apologize the magazine i looked at had a 3/4 view of the verso in which it looked identical to the new vibe just with a different grill. i didnt look at some of the pics in the link. but it obviously is corolla based and shares many design cues. and also the auris is just a corolla based model also either way my point was the drivetrain should fit once agian it depends on how much money you want to spend sorry for my input ill keep it to myself from now on
