Won't you please be...my neighbor?Hello neighborKevin
No indoor pets. But all sorts of wildlife (rabbits, squirrels,at least 47 different bird species, an occasional deer, one time a badger, a few shrew) have found my wooded yard to be inviting. I stopped a local kid who would throw rocks at anything moving in my yard, and so the wildlife apparently has adopted me as "one of them".No I don't name any of them. I have enough trouble remembering the names of college students in MY classes.KSNeptune
We always try to have two yellow Labs, although right now we are down to just one beautiful 10 year old yellow Lab named Brandi. Her little sister had to be out down a few years ago. Absolutely beautiful animals indeed. My life's blood. Looking for a new puppy right now, trying to track down the same blood line. We were successful in finding a kennel that has carried on Brandi's wonderful pedigree and we put a deposit down on a pup to arrive in May, but it looks like the bitc h isn't pregnant afterall. Too bad. Hopefully they'll try again soon. The idea is to have Brandi show the new puppy the ropes and teach her everything she knows. Generally we like to have the 2 dogs within a maximum of 2-3 years of age to ensure they are compatible. Seems to have worked extremely well in the past.

Hmmmmm....I'm a little worried LOL Yes, I think you find out... I was wondering about it... LOLquote:Maybe Quebec is a distinct society after all. I don't think this dog is a Quebecer... Of maybe it's a reincarnation of «Boule noire» AKA «George Thurston»... Do you know him? By the way, I don't want to talk politics... I leave this to our politicians... But I don't think it's very important... We are both Canadians!

quote:No idea who «Boule noire» AKA «George Thurston»... is. Fill me in.He is a singer from Quebec who sings: "Aimer D'amour", "Aimes-tu la vie comme moi" and others, and he has a big black curly hair like a big ball. So he named himself «boule noire» that can be translated «black ball».Here's a photo of him in the 70's: Here's a photo of him today: Sorry for his hair today...

I have a 4.5 yr old Mini-Schnauzer named Sam (born on the 4th of July). I am lucky because it is an unusual schnauzer in that it is not hyper or yippie. Just a mellow little guy.

4 daschsunds, 1 german shepard mix, and some little blind dog I found about 6 months ago standing in the middle of the road. She is an absolute sweetie I am kinda dog poor. LOL! I love em to death though!
Thanks! Yeah they do get quite a bit of attention. It's really tough trying to walk 4 at a time. They are like little horses trying to pull a carriage. They keep me busy to say the least!
When I take the dog for a walk he seems to get a lot of attention as well,,, could be because he likes to hold his own leash. doesn't like it when someone else holds it, the other odd ball thing he does is he likes to take the cat for a walk... on his back, he will let the cat get on his back and will walk it all over the backyard and the cat likes it.. stays there until the dog comes in the house.
