Re: 2005 Hard Upshift (arniep)

Had it checked out today. It was the PCM and it is still covered under warranty. In fact, the warranty for the PCM is 8yrs/80,000 miles. Thanks for the help.

Re: 2005 Hard Upshift (nygiantzz1)

It shifts particularily hard on the first upshift. Now for my ognorance. What is a PCM. The warranty is 24 months for emmision stuff and 36 for bumper-to-bumper coverage. How do I stand with a PCM?

2005 Hard Upshift

I just drove my wife's 2005 automatic today. ( I really need to do this more often!!!!) It just turned 30,000 miles and is one month from the end of the warranty. The transmission makes a very noticeable hard upshift on normal acceleration. It is not a subtle noise or sensation...it is very pronounc...

Re: Front end noise, rough brake pedal (joatmon)

The problem is pulsing, abrasive grinding, and a "rotatioanal roar." I have cupped tires on my 4-Runner, and getvibration and a slight noise only at higher running speeds. Cupping should not be evident at 15 mph. I have rotated the tires, and the problem does not change. Thanks for your res...

Front end noise, rough brake pedal

I have a 2005 Vibe with 18000 miles on it. The car has always made alittle noise when braking. I was told this was normal. Now I hear and feel a slight noise coming from the front left side that sounds like a bearing noise. This happens at any speed, especially at slow speeds on a smooth road. My de...

Re: Tire Pressure Light - 2005 Vibe (GMJAP)

I just sent you a reply to your previous response to my inquiry. I just looked at your reply again, and it made me think. I hate when that happens. I just had the tires rotated at WalMart prior to my problem. Are you implying this could be the source of my warning light problem? A simple process sho...

Re: Tire Pressure Light - 2005 Vibe (GMJAP)

Thanks for letting me know the tire pressure system is part of the ABS system. It didn't make sense to me, but now maybe the two systems should be complimentary to each other...tires...traction...brakes...etc.Wayne

Tire Pressure Light - 2005 Vibe

I have a 2005 Vibe and have had it in three times because of a faulty air pressure light warning. I was told once that my air pressure varied by more than 4 psi, so that was the problem. I am now told that it is a faulty ABS regulator??? Anyone else had this problem?

Installing roof rack bars

I just received a set of the roof rack bars from a group member. Would someone tell me how to install these on a 2005. It appears I must take the front black plastic caps off to allow the rails to slide in, but I don't see the way to do this. I took a hammer out of the equation early on! LOLThanks,W...

Re: Need part # for rear mudflaps (Jaycie685)

Try http://www.autowebaccessories.com. I purchased mine there at a discount price and they were grey. I painted mine black with plastic paint by Rustoleum. Marhyde also makes a great line of plastic and vinyl paints that I have used successfully in the past.

Re: (scott_h)

I bought one off of eBay and cannot use it. I laready have the GM design (not as good!!) but I ma squeamish about taking it off. I was hoping the Matrix part would cover any paint damage that might occur if I take the GM off, but it isn't. I'll take $20 plus shipping if someone wants it.Wayne
