The only downside to the GT is that the 6spd is a notchy trany and the clutch is horrible. I've owned and driven many other manual cars since the GT and it's the worst by far.

That pictures looks better than the car in person. It's probably on par with a Vibe or other cars in the $16-20k range. I would say that interior of our Scion Tc is comparable less the leather seats.

We really like the GT28RS for the Protege which is a better match than a T3/T4. If you can snag one of those for cheap, then go for it. They are good up to 350 hp I believe and have a faster spool.

Everytime I see one, I think back to the Fiesta that my friend has which only gets to 60mph and is lacking overdrive. Amazingly, the car is the same size as a Mini, but I wouldn't want to test the crash safety of it.

I put 20k on my GT and never had a problem with the clutch. I don't undestand how a clutch can be driven for 15k and then found to be defective. Especially when it has issues after a hard launch and a ton of smoke. I'm sure the dealer will replace it for the cost of labor and the parts.

I haven't seen a vehicle with stock fog lights that have hurt my night vision. The only thing that may come close is a jack up pickup with fogs. The car is rated at 170hp and 165tq, but with a turbo that can flucuate, plus I can add a boost controller and up it. I have seen dynos showing 220whp when raising the boost and a turbo back exhaust, I won't raise it that high since I want it to last. The odd thing is, this car feels so much quicker...

Well, the Vibe is now gone and have replaced it with a Mazdaspeed. There where just things I didn't like about the car and the deal worked out well. I will post some pics when I get a chance.

The SRT-4 is not appealing to me at all. I've seen the interior and it is more in line with a $13-16k car like a Cavalier or regular Neon. The only exception is the racing seats. I had the same issue, but it was after the dealer "fixed" the thermostat knob. Mine was stuck on the hottest setting and driving in the car for more than an hour was torture. I remember driving with the windows down during the winter until they fixed it.

I typically shift around the same speed, but I go into 6th usually around 55. Really odd after taking a Mustang GT for a test drive when cruising at 4000rpms in the Vibe seems normals.

This happens a lot of times when I'm parked and have to back up. Sometimes I also have noticed that going into reverse is very difficult so I put it back into neutral and then reverse.
