a stafford fabrications turbo will get 200 whp easy.hey matt when are we gona see some goodies on project vibe.what more impressive is that you didnt break the tranny though mr2s seem to have better luck than us fwd'ers.
look my sniggies, i had a strizz-oke in my brizz-ain okay, you know what im saying. so i cant move all good. but thanks for mentioning that .thank you very much.athf4evr. click here! you know you want to!!!
i agree with one of the qeustions posted at the Spyder site, what about the trannsmition and stuff? i know lighter cars are easier loads, but not THAT much easier?!? is " Quaife differential " the tranny helper?
i think the quaife is more of an axle saver.(power both evenly instead of one a lot).if it was a celica it probably would have broke the tranny.for some reason the rear wheel drive and weight helps the mr2 put down a lot of power, with basically the same tranny. sprung clutch , and redline mt fluid, may help some. but the real key to longer life is to not dog the tranny so hard, slamming gears ,power shifting and high rpm clutch dumps.

It basically puts power to the wheel that has more grip when one is slipping. I believe they have little preload unlike a regular Torsen LSD. The Vibe could also benefit from a Quaife differential as I remember mine lighting up the inside tire when making a turn with a lot of gas. For any FWD car to be a serious auto crosser, one is needed.
yeah Limited Slip Diffs are nice for front wheel drive cars altho sometimes they can be a bit bouncy... the Ford Focus RS supposedly has "superior" LSD technology but apparently on wide corner it has a tendency to bounce the power between the wheels uneccessarily which migh make for an interesting drive. You know whats interesting about the turboing of that 1zz is that if you basically rebuilt the engine of the GT with all teh same components plus probably a new tranny you could probably output more power still

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'm sorry I don't get to this forum more often, I always forget about it. So far the car has run 11.9@125, making less than 350whp and running on street tires. We've retuned and will be hitting the track shortly. See sig for new dyno #s.
