I was just rollin around today in the good ole Vibe when I passed by the Ford dealership. Well I just about made a mess, over on the front line was a brand new 1967 Ford Mustang. Let me tell you Ford was on when they put this thing together. No price on the sticker only because it isn't for sale until November 1st. It looks so much like my 67 it is incredible Too bad the convert. don't come out for a nother 6 months, but I can only imaginr how sick they are going to look!http://www.fordvehicles.com/2005mustang/home.asp

It looks great!
It would look great to see the new and the 67 next to each other for a side by side comparison. Too bad mine is still in the restoration process. No exhaust, no brakes, no interior. kind of hard ot bring it to the dealer and snap some shots!

Okay, remember before I said that my friend put on reverse, well, I guess I was wrong, I saw today in his 2005 Mustang GT. Gotta say, that thing is beautiful. I guess he picked up a week ago or somethin? It's a similar color as the Shadow Vibe's. Real nice too.Inder

Personally, I think that car looks worse than the old Fox model. Did they go all the way and use sealed-beam headlights too?!?!I'd rather drive an xB

I checked one out this weekend and was not impressed with the interior. So many modern economy cars have a betteer looking dash. Seems that Ford spent the money on the engine and exterior design first and ran out of money for the rest. I'm sure it will be popular regardless of how it looks on the inside and out.

Okay, honestly, Ford is very cheap when it comes to their interior panels. Some of the quality is terrible too. For example, they do not use a digital odometer like the Vibe does, it's still done with rollover numbers. The interior panels are pretty cheap and sometimes don't fit correctly. If I was to rate the Taurus's interior, I would honestly give it a 2 out of 5 stars. Some of the things on the Vibe aren't perfect, but I still love this car. For example, the compartment that keeps opening up under the shifter. The rattles like no other. Other than that, I am extremely happy with what I purchased and hope to get a GT as my next . I think I will be sticking with a Vibe for a while. Interior on the Vibe, I would rate it at about 4.5 stars out of 5. Just my $0.02Inder

fi you are familiar with the '67 mustang you will see many styling cues in the new Stang. the only thing that i didn't like about the center console is that it doesn't meet the rear seat nicely. there is a small gap betwen it and the seat. they should have molded one all the way through to the back of the back seat. but heay that's just me. And how can we even bring up the Scion when talking about a Mustang? They are not even remotely in the same class.

Ford spent the money where it counts. People who buy Mustangs may look at the interior, but the exterior and what is under the hood is what matters. There isn't much difference in price between a 300HP Mustang GT and a 173HP Vibe GT (base and loaded). I personally think the interior of the Mustang looks great. I have seen it in person, and the only thing that I missed was looking at the 126 different gauge color combinations!Mustangs have used digital odo's since 99, and there are a couple of neat features that you can access with this, like a digital tach, engine speed, actual fuel level, engine temp, diagnostic codes, etc. This trick also works on Ford trucks with the digital odo. If anyone wants to know how to do this, let me know.......Lastly, have you seen the interior for the new F-Series trucks? I don't think there is any competition between them and the Vibe. I think the Vibe has a great interior, but Ford trucks are really nice.http://www.fordvehicles.com/trucks/f150 ... s/mustang/
Like was said in another thread...You can put four wheels on a turd and call it a Mustang and it will sell. Why should Ford spend any money on a decent product when people will buy ANYTHING called a Mustang?Anyway, Viben'Round, you said this dealer had a new '67 mustang? How is that possible?
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
Ford seems to be doing an EXTREMELY good job with keeping the uniqueness tat their redesigned classics should have to make them appealing. Like the new design of the old "Shelby Cobra Coupe" looks like hte old one and a new design alltogather. When you look at the old ford compared ot the new ones you can clearly see simalarities...when you compare like the new GTO and Charger to the old one you see almost NO resemblance, other than that of cars already in production in the present. The only problem i have withthe new mustangs is that I think they should have left it more like hte concept. I like the louvers they had in place of the rear triangle window in te concept and also I liked how it was shorter and more low to the ground...looked more aggresive. Now it looks awsome still but looks a little more gumpy for lack of better term lol!
Uhhhhhm, Ragingfish, I don't mean to sound rude, but if you read my threads I refer to the New Mustang as a New '67 Mustang due to the numerous styling cues taken from the original 1967 Mustang.

Now that is bad-@$$. The ability to change the gauge color is an EXCELENT idea! I thnk that would be great way to customize and also if someone is a little sensative to a certain color they could change it. I know some people don't like the red gauges of the Vibe at night because they think it's hard on the eyes?!? lol

That pictures looks better than the car in person. It's probably on par with a Vibe or other cars in the $16-20k range. I would say that interior of our Scion Tc is comparable less the leather seats.

It was not a GT so the interior maybe better in a GT.
