Haha I definitely agree with you there. Thats pretty much where I'm at too. The sliding cover rattles like crazy when its slid open, so it stays closed most of the time. I don't see anything that can be done about that.

Well in this nice cold weather I ended up with a nice big crack in my windshield. I guess whenever I get windshield replaced I'll just fix those spots while windshield is out.

Locks could be worn as well; didn't consider that possibility. I'm still going to order one or two blank keys and give that a try since it won't cost much.

Your system is the same as mine; the moon&tune sub was optional in 03-04.
Mine doesnt have sub either. I thought I read on the site that the signal filtering was done at the amp then sent to the speakers seperately. I could be wrong though. I guess I can try hooking mine up both ways.

The shop in town here wants $200 to do it and I have a hard time spending that much on this car seeing as it's only my work commuter with hail damage and shitty repaired ...

This may be a dumb question, but which way does the air flow through the filter? The old filter was apparently the original filter and came out in pieces. Does the air flow down through the filter to the fan? If so the air would actually flow through that charcoal type filter first.
