Sounds like she tapped into the blue wire with a white strip, constant 12 volts to the radio. Thats the same place I tapped into, no whine or noise of any sort. Last weekend I put 1200 miles on the vibe, 1100 of which were highway at a speed af 75 to 80. Averaged 35 mpg, and 375 miles with a fill up of 10.7 gallons. So, if you do the math, you could get 450 miles untill empty. I do believe the Vibe has a 12 gallon tank, not 13.2.

Just picked up 4 qts of ATF from local Toy dealer for 16.00. At that price and the fact the tranny has a drain plug, I think Ill change it every third oil change.

Cottmans Transmission on Grand River in East Lansing. Had a clutch and tranny done there for 300 in labor plus parts. This was a few years ago and on an older honda...but they stand behind their work.

I switched to Mobil 1 at 450 miles. Another thing to think about when buying a new car is the build date. My Vibe had the original oil in it for almost a year from the time it was built to the time I bought it. That and all the test drives it had to go through it needed new oil.

Hmmm.... According to my Garmin GPSMap 60c, whilst I am traveling down the highway at what my speedo says im doing 60, GPS tells me Im doing 58. At 70 on the speedo, my GPS tell me 67, and I lose one mile an hour for every ten I go up on the speedo. Stock 16 wheels and oem continental tires.

Ive had my 2004 for almost a year now. Just something I always do when I buy a car, when I get it home I check everything myself, oil, coolant, tires, etc. Mine were at 44 all the way around. The dealer got a call on that one.

Make sure you have you positive and negative wires to the speaker correct. If you hook them up backwards, they will work, but your bass will suck.

Better grab the Master Cylinder while your at it. Typically on a Disc/Drum cylinder, the resevoir for the drum side of the system is alot smaller. Or am I thinking of an older type of system where the front and rear were actually seperated? Now that I think about it....

probably could do it like in the old days, where you had to cut wires and find out what went where. I Just recently installed the Aux2car, and so far, not a problem one. It is however not a PAC unit anymore, as far as I know. Mine didnt come in a PAC box and it said Peripheral on the actual adapter. My wire adapter did however come in a PAC bag. You can get it to work with either button, the BAND ...

I Just got what you mean. We had an 01 Olds Alero, and now I remember that if you pulled the radio, a carp load of stuff would stop working. And if you wanted to replace it with an aftermarket you had to buy a something or other to make everything work again.

Where I got the wire into the car. After I got it in, I ran it between the headliner and the plastic trim, then under the door weatherstripping to the front, and then between the dash and body where the front of the front door closes.

I did notice a sort of white noise, but you can only hear it after I shut the car off. You can only hear it if the car is off, the doors are shut, and you listen for it. And when I say the car is off, I mean the key is off and out too, it stops after about 10 seconds. I think its because the aux2car...

I have a 2004 with amp and 6 speakers. I did listen with the XM receiver off, and no noise. I dont think the Aux2car is a PAC unit anymore, it says Peripheral on the box?

I beleive that unless you get a True shop manual from GM or Toyota, you have to wait about 3 years for Haynes or Chilton to put one out. I dont think they start making manuals untill the typical 3 year warranty is out.

DOnt have any pictures yet because Im still routing wires. Installed the pro-fit mount, very easy installation, with the easy swivel, which I think I may take off, not sure yet. I found these on the XM forum. SOrry I dont have links;Panavise.comProclip.comBoth have mounting options for the Vibe and Matrix although Im not sure how you would get or order one of the Panavise clips, but anyway.I ended up ordering a Pro Fit clip.

Probably try to find a newer radio. Not sure if the JVC radios they were or are putting in the Toy's have the capability of an AUX input. Seems to me a JVC radio would be better than a GM unit.

I was looking through the XM forum last night, and there were quite a few people who said that as long as you have the Band button on your radio, it is technically XM ready, all you need to do is add the turner box and antenna.

well, I have a 2004 I bought around May of 2004. It is a two tone satellite. The strip between the wheel arch cladding and the fenders is seriously discolored, and not even a year old!

So, let me pose a question. If the stock, single disc with moons and tunes has a 12 pin plug on the back for Aux inputs from either a changer or XM tuner, and your car didnt come with XM or a changer, couldnt you just add a tuner box or changer to that plug?

Absolutely, and if you get caught with trash in whatever your running...its a long time before any of the guys will leave you alone about it. Youd be surprised how lazy a guy can be...be running something at the fill face and cant muster up enough motivation to throw a cup or wrapper out the window.

I have no quamms about pulling the radio and buying something that will let me hook it up directly to the radio. I do have the Band button and the CD/AUX button. Which button would the AUX Box enable? and have all the bugs been worked out of these things yet?
