Mine seems to be holding up ok too. It certainly isn't what I'd call "good quality" as it takes only the slightest affort to make a scratch (e.g., accidential fingernail contact), but is no where near as bad as others have posted. I consider myself lucky.'04 base Vibe

If you do a search around the web site you will see that the Conti tires are garbage and last maybe 35k (US) miles before they are smooth. Same question here on how you get such high mpg.I take it fairly easy on my '04 base automatic vibe and can only get around 30 mpg overall which is somewhat close to the EPA mileage.

My advice is it depends on how attentive you are, your driving experience, and how you react to emergancies.I drove for 12 yrs in the Wisconsin hinterland (including driving trucks). Like most new models, the '03 seemed to have it's share of problems. I've got an '04. At the begining I had a problem with the CEL going on; but Pontiac fixed it. Otherwise, a pretty sound car for the $$. Just don't expect the advertised gas mileage (goes for most vehicles).

Excellent ideas. In my case, the flashing is infrequent (depends how I toss in my stuff and if I'm in too much of a hurry to rearrange) and doesn't really bother me. But I would definately look into the extra buckle if there was beeping involvoed.

As has been recently publicized, the EPA numbers are roughly 10-20% higher than actual mileage. It is because they run the car on rollers, no wind resistance, at about 45 mph. For example, quite a few Prius owners are complaining they get about 10 mpg less than advertised which falls into the percen...
