That is some crazy stuff. Seems like a lot of more cities are getting major flooding this year.

And here in South Dakota half the state has declared emergencies for drought...Zion I hope no one got hurt and the water is receding. That's sad, all those people who lost everything, just like that.

we got that rain here in southern ontario last night...tons of water everywhere this morning!!
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!

Although I'm not discounting the weather being a bit extreme lately (it's been pretty hot out here in CA), most flooding is due to poor land planning/development. Where I live we can pretty much expect some severe flooding sometime soon, and thats not because of the weather but instead of all the non-stop paving over of the floodplain....

How is it at the University? I got nephew's that go and live there.

the university got hit pretty bad lots of water damage and basement flooding some say it was like it was raining inside some of the buildings.The water receeded pretty quick. it was just coming down so hard and fast it had no where to go.The water was receede by that night except for what was still being pumped out of basements and whatnot.just a lot of water damage.Amazingly there were NO serious injuries.Beware flood damage vehicles for sale!!
