I like the look of the slp hood - but not for $700. If it was carbon fiber (ie I don't have to paint it) and around $400 - I'd jump on it. Then put a short-ram in that would feed in the vent on it.

That would be great - I sure love their pro-line springs, makes the car handle like a go-cart.

Thats a pretty good game, I think I'm about 1/3 the way through it (wish it has a vibe in it!).I also play Champions of Norrath, Dark Age of Camelot, UT 2004, and BF1942 regularly (plus lots of other stuff every once in a while).

So far so good, got everything off and dropped it at the Firestone for the spring swaps. Removing everything took about 2 leasurely paced hours. Gonna put my progress rear sway on and paint my capilers while I wait.

Eibach Spring install tips anyone?

Just about to start swapping out my springs (I have the week off, yeah!). I'm using this Tien guide here as a guide:http://www.deepstaged.net/toymattein.htmDoes anyone know if you are supposed to cut the stops for the Eibachs? (Or any other Eibach specific tips?)

Thanks to all for all the information here! I gonna go with the Pro-Kit ones even though the drop is not as low, I've not read a post about them that was not positive in most all reguards (handling, sagging, etc). Thanks again to all the responses!

Eibach Pro Springs or Progress Sport Springs or ?

My local firestone says they will swap out the springs from the assemblies for $100. I'm pretty confident about removing /reinstalling them all in the car - it was that spring compressor that was the worry for me. With that, I'm gonna get springs. But which ones? The Eibach's drop it 1.5 the Progress...

Re: Seeing wheels angled? (silverawd26)

I've see the 'coming soon' camber adjustment nuts there before. Makes me kinda nervous about doing a drop before they have those available. I haven't heard anyone complain about the camber being off since making the drop (not here anyways), maybe is something that happens as they settle in? Or maybe...

Re: Need 12v in back for subwoofer (LocDog)

On the pinched power wire thing - my only concern would be if it shorted out. If you'll put a fuse in at the battery then you won't have to worry about that danger. I got an in-line fuse from Walmart for under $2 (plus the $2 for a box of several 20amp sub-fuses). Pretty cheap and worth it.

Re: Need 12v in back for subwoofer (threekrows)

It didn't come with a power wire, so I used some 18 gauge and ran a line myself. Put an inline fuse at the battery, then ran the line back through the fender well, under the door sills, and back to the trunk area. No pinch-points, but you can see about 2 inches of it at the middle-inside of the driv...

Need 12v in back for subwoofer

Is there already a 12v line somewhere in the back that I can tap into for my subwoofer amp? I really don't want to have to go in from the battery. Its only a 20amp sub (infinity basslink).Any ideas?

Thanks for all the info. I *really* want one of these, and the price is right. Only thing holding me back is how hard it is to get access to the filter. Anybody have any tips here on a way around this? And how often does one of those style of filters have to be cleaned/replaced?

Re: What car did you trade in or give up on for your Vibe??? (silverawd26)

Speaking of making mistakes, I totaled my 01' Mustang GT Convertable. Took insurance $ and rolled into the Vibe GT. Its a different car for sure and I miss the torque the Mustang had. But I don't miss the insurance cost or the inconvienance (rear seating sucked, no trunk space, etc). Lil stereo acti...

You can add :7. Insurance on the Neon will considerable more expensive than the vibe (espcially a non GT vibe). I also have 2 young kids. The vibe really works great here. They have plenty of room to grow into in the back seat (as opposed to my previous car, a mustang) and the hackback is really use...

I'm sold! I want them!Is $100 a normal price for an install? Cause I want the springs, but I really don't want to mess with installing them - and that price has been scaring me away from getting them. But if I can get it done for $100 - then I'm in!

Re: VIS OEM Carbon Fiber Hood (satur9)

Yeah - the Evo style one is perfect. Vent over radiator for extra cooling + air intake right where it should be. That + a short ram intake would be just what I want. I think I'll hold off on buying a CAI for a bit - maybe someone will get this to happen for the Vibe.

Thanks for all the help - espcially the pictures of the installs. I think I'll just mount the front crossovers like jahntassa did on the doors. For the rear speakers, I'm still gonna try some small woofers - but I think I'll put in an amp under the pass. seat (like the moon/toons has) and put the cr...

Coming out of the head unit easy? What I'm thinking I'd like to do is put a component 6 1/2 + tweeter combo in the front doors (mounting the tweeters on the lil space inside where the side mirror mounts. And put a pair of 6 1/2 subs in the rear doors. Then put crossovers for these under the dash by ...

I want a 4th hood option :)

Don't want a carbon-fiber thing. Not crazy about the SS hood. Kinda like the 2-intake pontiac-looking hook. But what I'd really like to see (and maybe buy) is one with a functional hood scoop off to the side right above the actual air box in the engine compartment. Something that would feed right in...

Yup - pretty happy with it so far (at 600 miles). Only thing I would consider is *maybe* getting a base model + supercharger instead of the GT. The insurance would be cheaper and it would be faster in the rev-range I usually use. But of course it wouldn't have 4 wheel disc brakes and the resale valu...
