There is a cover, three bolt/screws, drops down from the front, I think it goes up and is part of the wheel well cover too. Then reach in and release the five tabs.

There is a 4 switch panel to the left of the steering column in my 09 vibe. Only one push button switch that has a picture of a car skidding of the road. I assume that is traction control. Made a fourth brake light out of the pontiac emblem on the hatch. Did not turn out perfect. The red lens is not just a a red lens glued to the chrome emblem. The Vibe is what it is! Fuel efficient compact wagon/hatchback. Compare it to the other wagons in its class and it is beautiful. Look at the Aveo, Soul, Versa, Caliber etc. Now those are some ugly vehicles. Besides ugly is in the eyes of beholder.
