Vibe in High Performance Pontiac's top 5

unfortunatelyhttp://blogs.highperformancepo....htmlQuote »Sorry, G3 You Beat Out the Aztek on this OneFive Ugliest Pontiacs of the Modern EraPosted Yesterday 09:25 PM by HPPCHRIS Filed under: Pontiac News, Chris PhillipHere's our pick for the ugliest Pontiacs of the modern-era. 1. The G3 (Yes, I think it's uglier than the Aztek).2. The 1980s LeMans (Daewoo-built).3. Any 1980s square-body Bonneville (What happened to the beauty of the Bonneville flagship name in the 1980s is a disgrace to Pontiac.)4. The Pontiac Vibe (If I wanted to buy a Toyota, I'd buy a Toyota.)5. The Aztek (I know, everybody else puts it as the ugliest, but at least it has a unique look and wasn't co-built by Toyota.)Honorable Mention:The T-1000 (Another ugly Pontiac we'd rather forget.)Vibe uglier than an aztek? these guys have no credibility

(removed)? The Aztek is #5? Some might think the Vibe isn't the prettiest car, but how the hell did it become uglier than the Aztek?

Although I love the Vibe (which is essentially rebadged Matrix) Its not the prettiest car on the road IMO. I wanted to buy the Martix cause I thought it was much better looking of the two....but the Vibe was cheaper for the same car. The looks have grown on me LOL.In the same category as the Aztec??? No way!

Honestly, a lot of the Pontiacs of the "modern era" were not all that good looking, compared to some other cars, until more recently. And I say this as a Pontiac fan! The G3 isn't ugly, it's just... cute. Which I assume is not the look people usually want to associate with Pontiac. G3 was kind of a useless car since it's the same as the Aveo... though looked much cuter than the Aveo and had better options. I think the Vibe was the most unique looking Pontiac (aside from the Aztek), until they redesigned the Vibe to be more in line with their other "looks." The first gen vibes were pretty badass in their concept forms, or with some effects kits to really emphasize the inset front grills!

no way. I bought my 03 VGT because I thought it looked bad ***! and the Matrix was ugly imo. No way it should even make that list. The writer's a moron. ASStek should be #1 all the way. no question!

I agree! I love the look of all year Vibes. The Matrix is too plain looking in my opinion. The Vibe shouldn't be on the list at all and the A**tek should most definitely be number 1.

I highly agree. Before I knew anything about the Vibe, I found myself looking through various cars in a dealers online inventory list. The Vibe surely caught my eye.Heck, even these days I catch myself admiring how good the car looks when it's sitting in a parking lot. I guess I just like ugly cars .

pretty sure that when I saw the prototype for the Vibe at the Chicago Auto Show back in 02 I thought it was the ugliest effing car ever, and that it was a stupid idea even.HOWEVER they did paint it like a bright neon blue with salmon interior. Plus I was a young and naive child. Now I thoroughly enjoy the look of my 03 Vibe and when ppl call it a "soccer mom" car I say "Hey at least I'm not making payments"

All generation Vibes look great overall I especially like the front of the 09/10's and the rear is "so so" (looks too foreign to me) as I'm a big domestic man

Why wasn't the Bonneville listed.. I would have to say it was even uglier than the Aztek.. especially the early-mid 90's model.. YUCK!

As they say, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When to comes to automobiles, for the mature among us the beauty is in the value, functionality and reliability. That said, the Aztek was a two bagger!

Wow....I was a 10+year subscriber to this magazine up until last year. I don't know where they get off including the Vibe anywhere near that list. The Aztek in concept form was a pretty cool looking vehicle - mass production unit slaughtered the original look. I have always liked Pontiac's designs, with few exceptions.....and the Vibe was on the "Top Picks" list for me when they first announced it was going into production. I couldn't afford a new one at the time, but did sign up for the "New Model" information kits that they sent out to prospective owners prior to the actual release date. Very cool rides in stock form and as others here have shown, these looks and attributes can be modifed in a very tasteful way.As to the comment that "if I wanted to buy a Toyota, I'd buy a Toyota.......If I wanted to buy a true "Pontiac", I would hav had to stop in 1987 when the last(I think)...cough/gasp, Pontiac designed engine was put into a passenger car. Remember the 2.5 litre "Iron Duke"? The Vibe turned out to be the best of both worlds for me. In 2000, I left my 17 yr career as a Pontiac Master Technician at Warner Pontiac and went to work at the Buffalo Plant building Vibe engines(Corrola & Matrix too). in 2005, I bought my first Vibe which made it 3 yrs before the Deer kill. I have since replaced it with another '03 and my family have added a '03 and an '04. For cool looks, utility and mechanical durability for the dollar, they are very hard to beat.Wow, that went on for much loonger than I had thought it would. Sorry for the long rant.

The Vibe is what it is! Fuel efficient compact wagon/hatchback. Compare it to the other wagons in its class and it is beautiful. Look at the Aveo, Soul, Versa, Caliber etc. Now those are some ugly vehicles. Besides ugly is in the eyes of beholder.
