I wanted to report that I FINALLY, after MANY years, solved the slow return / "gummy" or "sticky" feel of my clutch pedal. The pedal had a .5 second delay for a full return. At 172k, my clutch pedal engagement point had become VERY low as well as the pedal continued to delay when...

I was able to determine that my 1.8 only has one spring. (The 2.4 has two.) My vehicle has 164,000 on the original clutch. It’s only when temps are below 50’ that the last inch or so feels gummy and slow to fully return. I flushed the brake fluid in both the brake lines and clutch lines and this mad...

What is a Warm start? When you start up, the engine is cold, takes minutes to come to temp and car is then at appropriate temperature. How long does the noise last? Long shot.... loose bolt holding an alternator, A/C compressor/Exhaust manifold etc etc, that warms up and then does not make the nois...

Yes, red circle is water pump. It should turn freely without any binding or noise. Oil at the blue circle could be the front seal. The color of your coolant will determine the type to use. Your level should not drop, unless you have a leak. Look closely at your hood, radiator and firewall for evidence of dried antifreeze. If you see any, the pump is leaking and is covered under warranty for 5 years / 100,000 miles. Common probl...
