Yeah, with the gearing in the GT you do shift alot. High differential, and close ratio in 1st - 4th. Sometimes I find myself going 1st, 3rd, 5th, then 6th when above 47-50MPH.I'm 6 foot flat and don't mind it. Oddly enough, my only automatic is my Camaro!Jason

I have the 17's. I'm only counting on these dunlops lasting 40K tops since their a Z rated tread compound. I used armor all ultimate tire shine last weekend! I'm not going to worry about it.I read the website too. If you are that concerned, give them a call and get a more through explanation.Jason

Some of my friends have used Amsoil gear lube with good results.I recently elected to run Redline MT-90 in my Golf 5 speed. It's smooth as silk now! If I powershift, I can keep it in lift. I don't plan on doing it again though. It's not a race car and it didn't feel too good! Felt much better in my Eclipse.

A CAI does not necessarily make a car run leaner. If the car has a mass air flow sensor then it is able to adjust for the amount of air. If the car is speed density then it would lean it out a bit.Jason

I have only run premium 92 or 94 depending on if I fill at Sunoco or Amoco/BP. My Camaro also runs on the same fuel except when I go to the track I add some 107 octane unleaded. My Golf doesn't care about octane, its more concerned with cetane!Jason

I use the green stuff unless the car uses a special coolant like my VW ($12 a bottle) and change it every 2 years. Don't forget to used distilled demineralized (sp?) water Jason

I wonder if I can fit my 1000 CCA battery from my camaro in the Vibe during the winter. I store the camaro and usually put the battery in the basement anyway...I'm sure that sucker would spin the engine fast enough!Jason

Personally I am going to change it around 15,000 miles because there will probably be some break-in wear particles in the fluid. Then I will probably change it every 100,000 miles (using a good synthetic fluid).Its cheap, easy, and what the heck!Jason

Just want to let you know that the spacers do work, however they do cause more stress on the spring in certain spots and will wear the spring out faster. How much faster I can not say.Just think about how a spring compresses and how it will compress with the spacer...Jason

I've been doing some reading and HP per HP nitrous many times provides the greatest reduction in 1/4 times. Not only does it add HP but it generates tremendous torque, especially at lower RPM's. Until the bottle runs out, lolJason

A word of caution on high efficiency filters. It may not be better to have a filter that filters down to say 5 microns. It will naturally be more restrictive than a filter that filters to 15 microns and will go into by-pass mode more often. I have seen many oil analysis results that showed junk filt...
