C so sorry to hear the news-but glad you're alright. would have been terrible if you had a seizure while driving...that would have definitely fit on the "worst thing that could happen to anyone" list! better to keep yourself (and your vibe!) whole and safe.in the meantime, i'd be happy to drive you around in your vibe! ha ha.
That is terrible, coratz, and very scary as well! But as snowbeast says, it could have been even worse, and at least they have some pretty effective medications now that often can completely control things. A friend of mine had a stroke last year while driving. He hit another car and rolled his beloved and much modified MR2 into a ball. His crash injuries are all healed, but he is still recovering from the effects of the stroke. He said it was like watching a horror movie: his body just stopped obeying commands, but he could see everything happening in slow-mo, and then he woke up in hospital two days later... Rather than selling your Vibe, maybe this is the time to focus on the future: Start diverting the money you'd normally spend on gas, insurance, etc. into a fund for mods and upgrades, and make it even better for when you get the green light to hit the road again!
I feel for ya , man - I can imagine what you must be going through: I had my MR2 for less than 6 months before a seizure took mine away. The worst part is the drugs they put you on to muddy up your brain so it doesn't come back. All a distant memory now, though -It looks bad now, but hopefully they'll treat you, things will normalize and you'll appreciate your car a lot more when you can drive it. Hang in there.

My sister's boyfriend's dad had an epileptic seizure behind the wheel of his Olds Alero about 2 1/2 years ago going about 70 MPH on the highway. He crashed the car and woke up in the hospital. He hadn't had one in over 30 years, this one just happened all of a sudden. He was ok and they got the car fixed, but he too lost his liscence for a year. One of his family members had to drive him to work everyday when they went to work or school. He remainded seizure free for a year and is back to driving again. Sorry to hear it happened to you, but I guess it could have been much worse. Best wishes for your good health and return to driving your new Vibe!

guys, it started out as a normal tuesday, woke up went to work, had a staff meeting, it was stressfull, then the siezure happend. my fellow coworkers called an ambulance, on the way to the hospital i had another seziere and stopped breathing for 3.5 minutes. (felt like being burried alive. i woke up a few hours later and doctors told me what happend. i spent the next week in the hospital doing tests and getting used to the new medications im on now. i had never had a single episode of sezures or anything close to what happened last week. the worst part is losing my licsense for a whole year. im very lucky this did not happen while i was driving.
