And was I ever impressed. this thing has everything you could want in the aftermarket already installed! Spotted it in Tyson's Corner, VA at mitsubishi dealership. It is quite impressive! Recaro seats, big Brembo(I believe) brakes, large diameter exhaust from turbo back, Enkei wheels, big nasty intercool in front grill. The hood was unbelievably light, interior stripped down to essentials. just plain mean! I didn't like the tails, though. They're altezza-esque. Kinda cheapin's the look. If only I could have drove it! They were not allowing any test drives as of yet. The salesman couldn't even take it out! keep your eyes peeled! Not too much, though, because when this thing blows by you, you'll lose those eyeballs!
As of now there is no release date on the STi. It may never make it here. They are waiting to see how well the 03 sells
03, Abyss monotone GT, 6 disk changer, moon and tunes, Cargo mat/nets, power package, side airbags, AEM Short Ram Intake, Borla exhaust , 35% tint all around, F1 strut tower brace, debadged, 17" Excel rims w/ federal ss595 tires.
quote:The WRX will make it here!I hope I'm in the Camaro if I come up next to either of these cars.Better hope for more than the Camaro 'cause you'll probably loose. Don't believe me? Check out this months Car and Driver (June 2003) where they do a comparison test of the WRX STi and the EVO. The EVO does a 13.6 @ 101 while the STi kicks the EVO's (removed) with a 13.2 @ 103. That's smokin' fast!

It actually is better than the Japanese market version. I guess that is there way of saying "sorry it took so long for us to bring it over. Here is an extra 28 hp and 50lb feet of torque for being patient." The diplacement is also an extra .5 liter. They used the 2.5 rs engine and turbo charged that instead of the 2.0 liter used in the WRX.

I don't want to hear any complaining from my American counterparts here on the EVO!!! We don't get the EVO in Canada... at all Nuthin, nada. Sure the WRX and STi are cool but it still would be great to have another competitor - some new and interesting faces up here. The reason they don't sell here is because the intercooler will get damaged in a low speed frontal hit... something that transport Canada is not happy about.
