Re: DTC P0420 - No Driveability Issues

Thanks for the quick reply SalsaGuy. I've been getting the same advice regarding (not-legal) workarounds: it can very easily end up with me getting a new Cat on top of the cost of the work-around (& fine)...

Re: DTC P0420 - No Driveability Issues

I've been getting the P0420 code on and off for a month now... trying to figure things out... 2005 Vibe w/ 200,000+ miles on it. I think I have noticed some correlation with when I get gas; but the first order of business is some bonding time with my dad changing spark plugs... I don't think I can a...

Thanks for the encouragement. I think I'll ask the parts-store guy for advice to make sure I get all the materials in one go... I can clean the garage and swap the tail-light while waiting for the engine to cool... off I go!

Re: (joatmon)

New bulbs worked. I've swapped out the passenger side in the past, so it went fairly quickly. I say fairly because the driver's side headlight was a bit of a hassle, but it's done.

lights gone dark. Possible electrical issue?

Both headlights didn't turn on last night on my vibe. High-beams and low still work (these are separate bulbs, correct?)... a friend suggested I check the fuses since it's unlikely both headlights would fail simultaneously; but I could not locate the fuse box easily on my own in the middle of the ni...

Re: ScanGauge is in (djb383)

I figured this is a better thread to tell my little install story (since I have a Frosty '05 base)Drove from San Diego to Berkeley and picked up a Scangauge from one of the vendors on the scangauge website (fyi, Dirty Parts). I did the install when I filled up in the middle of nowhere on the I-5...s...

Re: Scangauge in '09 GT (Bikerscum)

The hardware install certainly looks like something I can handle but how was the software config? I'm going to be passing through LA on a road trip and am considering picking one up from a shop listed on the scangauge website... I remember seeing pictures of someone placing it above the rear view mi...
