Hi AllNot much to say right now...I'll be mining for useful info from this board as I move some of my home-brew electronics into the car. See my FlickR set for what I have going...http://www.flickr.com/photos/r...04517/Just installed ScangaugeII for MPG info...My homebrew GPS unit is moving along slowly...I know just laying the cable out like that is Ugly; just testing out the reception of an external antennae vs the on-board ceramic antennae...10/16Backlit 16x2 LCD. Serial connection even. 1 data line instead of the 12 on the non-backlit screen...10/17Distance function working; data parsing optomizedif anyone knows of good project write-ups that would help me route my GPS and Scangauge cables (through dash, up to the rear-view, outside onto the roof...), Please point them out to me2/17 - gathering infoGMJAP's 12v armrest mod... although my circuitry requires 5v. I Guess I need to work the 5v wall-wart into the wiring somehow.MichiganWhiteTail's headliner removal for adding GPS antenna. I wish I could avoid making it permanent. How easy is it to remove RTV?Oct. 3, '09Planning oil & spark plug change. Also install 12v socket (got 12->usb/5v adapter). Need to research usefulness of installing interior bike rack (read: make sure bike fits). GPS update: need to rebuild my programming computer so I can tinker with the wi-fi/memory upgrades for the system.

hey ron,welcome to the family! sorry i can't help you w routing your cables in and around the vibe's interior, but i'm sure the search function would come in handy.very cool set up you got goin there. keep us posted
