GT Air Intake Foam?

Hey everyone. So I need some help - I was cleaning and re-oiling my K&N filter and I noticed that the foam seal around a flap in the air box was loose and falling off. I have 2 questions: 1) what is the flap for?2) is this a problem?Thanks for the help gen vibers you rock.

Engine Air Intake Box - HELP VIBE OWNERS!!

Okay, after I replaced my engine air filter and I noticed that the upper and lower halfs of the intake didn't quite come together. It looks like its clipped in just fine on the outboard side of the box, but on the side toward the engine there seems to be a little gap between the top and bottom halfs...

I just moved here from Ann Arbor Michigan, and what do i find when i get here? a flash flood!!! but have no fear, i was pretty impressed with my vibeGT, the little thing waded pretty deep in the water...where other cars were scared away the vibe went....I guess i'm glad i held out on buying that CAI...

What do you guys think of just getting the rear sway bar? Do you feel like you need to tighten up the front end once you've done the rear? Is there still the little bit of understeer in the front? or does the rear help? I have a strut brace, do you think that would help up front?

maybe....but not as ugly as nasty rust spots and paint chips can be....i think i'm going to go with the magnet bra, i like it because it's not a full bra and dirt won't get underneath it....i like the carbon fiber hoods, but i mean, it's just way too much money for an appearance mod...

magnetic car bra

has anyone used the magnetic car bra posted on things like e-bay and all that? It looks like the front edge doesn't actually wrap around the front of the car, so wouldn't the bra technically not protect that front edge? (which is where i have most of my chips)anyone have any thoughts?

be very careful when you're tightening the nuts on the front struts...i accidentally over torqued them and snapped one of the studs...it was a very expensive repair...about 100 bucks for the strut plate and another 150 for the labor to repair it (i have no idea how to take the strut tower apart) bec...

I've definitely noticed a difference with the bar in...stuff like turning corners or even high speed entrance ramps feel different...but yeah, i don't think it'll help with the wind problem, the problem with the vibe is that it's such a tall, light car and it has a big wind print.

dammit...i wish i read your post before i installed mine...i just did it THIS AFTERNOON and of course, one of the studs broke off as i was tightening the nut...any thoughts? is my vehicle safe to drive like this? the stud broke about 1/4-1/2 inch above the horseshoe thing, so i have another nut hold...

yeah, that seems pretty high for a remote starter. I went to best buy and got a remote starter installed for about $180 and there were some even cheaper than that. I'm not sure if it voided any sort of warranty but i don't think so. I live in michigan and man, that remote starter was worth every pen...

uhm...i thought the moon and tunes package came with an IN-DASH (meaning the changer is in the radio in the dashboard) cd changer and that the box under the passenger seat was the amp for the system, maybe i'm wrong, but i'm pretty sure i can't get rid of that box...maybe i should put it in the stor...

oh okay, so there's really no issue with chassis flex or anything? I thought that was kind of a stretch anyway....strut braces and sway bars and dropping the car should help with the rollover issue yes?
