Those studs are part of the strut mount. They hold the mount to the structure of the car. The centre larger bolt is the top of the strut.A dealer or a shop that specializes in suspension work should be able to fix it up for you.I would not recommend leaving it for very long before you get it fixed.

I installed a JL audio microsub in rear hatch area. Sub was mounted using JL supplied mounting bracket to the vibe track system. I can still open cover over spare without removing sub. Interesting. The spacer must provide a better connection to door, thus eliminating any resonances caused by the thin plastic in the stock basket. ie: better bass, clearer highs...I might try this myself - THX for the tip..

The JL's fit fine provided you use the stock speaker basket as a spacer. About 1/4" clearance to the window.Cheers
