I spoke to Monkey Wrench Racing up in Michigan. They told me they sell OEM Toyota parts. They searched and found it listed as crankshaft sensor Seal instead of o-ring. My area has busted streets with holes galore. We had 17 inch alloys on a 2003 Vibe. Busted tires often, plus a harsh ride running over broken streets. Presently our current 2005 Vibe has 16 inch alloys. Much better.

I,ve been using a vin from some used Corolla to search for parts at local Toyota dealers. Is there any place you guys know to buy OEM Toyota , such as a crank sensor that will fit my 05 vibe(base).

spoke to my mobile mechanic today. he remembered when we changed crank sensor o ring we didi not have a new o ring , so he put nice condition existing o ring back in... anyone know the part number . also part number for crank seal . Thanks.

Did you need to buy a different type of lug nut? I believe the alloy wheels used a conical type of lug nut Maybe steel wheels for the vibe uses flat type. BTW= I noticed the tires on a stock vibe with steel wheels are not as wide as tires on a stock vibe with alloys. Does that matter?

2005 Base model with 16 inch alloys . I,m searching for replacement lug nuts. Years ago some one posted the part number, description for it avail at one of the auto parts stores.
It did not have the dreaded chrome cover on it.

BTW= the old alternator we pulled out had black numbers marked on the side of it. So maybe it was not the original.

A very good rebuild shop sold me a reconditioned alternator. It is a Denso and cost $130. The tech told me it is completely rebuilt, all the electrical parts including the regulator. A mobile mechanic installed it for $90. It works perfectly now. fingers crossed.

there is a very light oil leak down below the belt. but anyway this old alternator needs to go. And I will buy one of them voltage testers that plug into the cigarette lighter socket. Thanks for the suggestions.

It didn't,t work. during the summer the adhesive would run all over the area. And when you get it on your hand and fingers it,s very difficult to get off. Now I bought some "Black Out" trim tape to try out.

TCC System Stuck Off.- Mecahnical (4T65-E).

)5 vibe, about 180,000 mile son it. never changed fluid. never drips tranny fluid.


3000 rpm,s at 70 mph on interstate. Shifts smoothly. Vibe does take off from a complete stop very fast.

Is TCC code 0741 a big problem? what bad things may appear?

update= yesterday I swapped the rear turn signal bulbs this side to that side. I did a lot of driving around last night. All was fine.

BTW= thanks for the Walmart bulb idea. That,s a big difference from the auto parts stores prices I saw.
