Re: Another Vibe goes bye-bye (cohocarl)

I traded my Vibe in last week and I got $10,200 for it. It had 25K miles. I enjoyed the Vibe but I couldn't resist the current Saab 9-3 offers. I leased an '04 9-3 Arc for $20 more than my Vibe payment and with no money out of my pocket.

Saturn ION Red Line Series

Saturn will have this out by early '04. This becomes interesting. I may have to wait and see if this becomes an option to me instead of the Vibe S/C.Highlights of the ION Red Line include:2.0-liter, supercharged and intercooled version of the Ecotec four-cylinder engine Five-speed transmission with ...

2° F and my Vibe won't start

It was 2 degrees this morning and my car won't start. The starter was not turning. My first instinct is to check the battery, which was ok (green eye). The clutch pedal safety switch came to mind. Assuming that there might be some internal lubricant in the switch that froze, I heated it with a blow ...

I wonder if Pontiac will only select a handful of select dealers to sell/install the SC. If you browse the GMGoodwrench website, they have a pre-selected list of dealers.

Re: Honda supplying GM engines... (ragingfish)

Honda is supplying GM with a small volume of the 3.5L V6 engines that GM will use for the Saturn VUEs. Since Saturn is GM's import fighter, GM will probably gain more sales with this move. Honda, in return, will buy Isuzu (GM affiliate) built diesel engines that they will put in their European marke...

What you're experiencing is normal. The delay is due to the headlight twilight sentinal (auto on) not engaging right after start-up.

Exhaust upgrade after the supercharger?

if I were to install (providing it's available) a header after the sc mod, do you guys think that I can get more HP? What about using the 2zz manifold with the base engine? I've read in previous threads that this is better than the headers.

Consider buying new. With the $2K rebate or zero financing plus your GM discount, the price would probably closed to that of the used car.

Unplugging the sensor makes the lights stay off. I tried this also, I just missed having the auto-on so I plugged it back on and just removed the lens cover.

Vibe vs ION

With GM geting into the tuner market, the vibe will get the aftermarket SC and the ION will have a SC engine factory installed rated over 200HP.What would you do? Upgrade the Vibe or get the ION with the factory warranty.

Re: How to disable Automatic light ?? (Sub-Vibe-R)

Unplugging the sensor will disable the auto-on feature of the headlights. Another option is to pop off the dark lens cover of the sensor. I did this myself and it seemed to decrease the sensor sensitivity. You just have to get comfortable with sensor sans cover.
