Re: (ragingfish)

I want to just put in a more powerful amp since that thing only does 200w max right? That means all the speakers are barely getting any power. So I change the amp and put in more powerful mids.

Where's the amp (I have moon 'n tunes)

I could potentially just change out the amp and and some new mids and that'd work fine, right?

So that's it down on the bottom left? Yea, that looks pretty easy to get to. Still kinda bummed out about the extra cash I gotta spend though >_>And do you think I'll need a new battery right away? I do plan to get a yellow top sooner or later, but for now, I'd like to stick with stock (less $$$).

I like the drifting in Carbon, but I think Underground 2 and Most Wanted were better overall.

Could you give me the links to some of those that clearly show it, because I can't really tell what's what in all those pics >_And just an estimate, how long would you say this little upgrade would take? And finally, does it affect gas usage very much?EDIT:That link says for '00 - '04, mine is an '0...

Re: (damronjr)

Yea, I'm not so sure though. I've never really worked on cars as far as stuff like that goes, I don't even know what half that stuff you just mentioned is. I don't know if you can, but can you take a picture of where it's at maybe so I'd at least know what I'm looking for?I do have another question ...

110 amp alt?

I'm going to be pulling around 1500w for my speakers (not a constant 1500w, but my sub will be getting 1300w or so and mids getting 100-200w). So basically, where can I buy a 110amp alternator, because I'm fairly certain I'm going to get major dimming with the 80amp alt that comes stock

Re: Pyle & Pyramid (shane_c)

I have two $50 Ascendant Audio Assassin 8"s in my Ford Ranger and they sound great and get pretty loud. RMS is 350w (but you can give a little more, I do). Dunno how much you're looking to spend, but these are pretty much the best 8" subs for the price, and I've had more than a few people ...
