Update

I filled up at the usual gas station (Shell, which has been steady, at least) a couple days ago and then drove it all highway at about 65-70 mph. Down to below 3/4 of a tank, and guess how many miles it's logged? 78!! That's freaking TERRIBLE! On a bad tank, i'd get at least 100 miles at the 3/4 mar...

Thanks, Mike. My door has the sticker with the 17" tire settings already on it, though. The previous owner must have optioned up through the factory. Each mile traveled seems accurate. I wish you were spot on, but I think it's set this way through the factory. What do you think?

Yeah, mine stops when I let off the gas, too. That's why I thought it was an engine, related thing. Gets up there around 58-60 and above.

High-pitched humming noise over 60mph

Do any of you hear the higher-pitched hum of the engine above 60mph?? It's very noticeable to me from 58-60 or so; it's as if it kicks into annoying-hum mode at that point. Do you think this is normal or based on the positioning of the engine? Thanks!

I have good tweeters on the Punch speakers, too. Does anyone recommend getting more installed up high by the window area?I'm attributing the missing sound to all four speakers being low down in the doors, front and back....Thanks!

I'm still new to my Vibe, but it's idling around 1200 cold, and I live in Maine. Stop lights are usually around 900 rpms warm. Loud noise from front of vehicle at start-up, but the manual says that's due to the ABS regulating itself. Winter should be interesting as it fast approaches...!
