install new air filter = disconnect battery for a while?

I bought a K&N drop-in air filter.I'm going to "install" it tonight.I am almost sure I read something on here somewhere about resetting the ecm, although I'm too new at this to know what that means. Something about disconnecting the battery for a few hours?Any help would be appreciated...

Upgrades for 06 AWD?

I'm a car noob. I've been reading about how a rear sway bar and front strut (?) bar or something can help out your handling on the cheap (relatively) I'm also interested in springs for both handling reasons and aesthetics - I want the car lowered a little bit. Any other relatively minor addons/upgra...

...can I safely perform without voiding the lease and with the AWD option (I know there is less I can do b/c of this).I am thinking we will buy the car out since we will be way under the km limit, but I'm not 100% sure.

06 AWD Vibe - Sandbags in the back?

It is quite icy up here and they don't plow much or use salt like they do on the East coast (they use sand instead)Even with Kumho winter tires, and the AWD, I am still sliding a bit and fishtailing. I'm wondering if putting some sandbags or something similar in the back would help me at all? What a...

Leased 2006 AWD Vibe

Hey I just began leasing my Vibe after much research, I chose the Vibe, it seems like a great choice and I am satisfied so far.I am just wondering, what - if any - mods are available to me that will not void my lease agreement in case I don't want to buy it out at the end.i.e. cold air intake, exhau...
