OK. FINALLY it worked!!!! THANKS to both of you!!!!I interpreted turn key to on and wait for dash lights to come on to mean wait till things have stopped flashing and beeping. I was apparently missing my window on this by waiting this long.1. Turn key to ON and set ODO to read ODO (not trip-A or tri...

How to Kill the Beeping (tried search)

So I need this beeping to stop when I've got something on the passenger seat or my wife has to turn around for a second to attend to a child (who may have been sleeping ) in the rear seat, laptop on the front seat, putting a hand on the front seat. All of these make me want to drive my vibe off a cl...

Cruise Control Gets Confused?

Anyone know why cruise control on even the slightest of hills will downshift two gears and just ride it out there until you are basically going downhill again? If you click it off you can still get it to shift and not need anywhere near the RPMs that it thinks you do.I swear I can hear my gas milage...

Re: Satellite FM transmitter mounting (shane_c)

The RoadyXT didn't come with a suction cup, but it did come with the vent clip and a base that has two-sided tape on it so you could mount it elsewhere.

I could have swore that the base radio unit also has that functionality. It doesn't seem to save tweaks but it will get you in the right general setting 1-5(6?)

XM Unit in & Hardwired

I puchased a RoadyXT a while ago and had it temporarily mounted just running the wires through the cabin. It was driving me crazy so I decided to get all the wires hidden.I decided to mount the unit using the supplied vent clip and placed it in the vent to the right of the steering wheel. The unit w...

After noticing where the Fuse panel is located I am tempted to install a small aux panel somehwere I can get to I agree that with the amount of amps that those devices take you could easily tap the radio or cig line. I don't think I have a cig unit in my center console??? Just the one near the radio...

As soon as I get my adaptor for my RoadyXT I'm doing the same thing. I am not going to use the actual cigarette plug though. I know I may not see it but just tossing that much wire behind the panels still will bother me.I want to do this and take pictures and either tap the fuse panel or tap the bat...

I just want it to connect with no issues and be clear... if the quality is bad then I may as well stick with the FM modulator in the RoadyXT unit. So far it sounds pretty good (considering it is going through the stock Vibe system). I was also wanting to set it up so I could just plug into a jack to...

AUX Device - Looking to get one Local / Does this work?

I found one at Circuit City that I think may work based on the sticky above. http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd...o.y=5The thing that made me wonder is that Crutchfield (online) said it wouldn't work with my base Vibe with no Monsoon kit.Anyone use this? It has two connections which would be great, one ...

XMFanStore seems to carry the 12V to 5Volt adaptor that I need for the Roady. BestBuy didn't carry the remotes or the convertors so I'm going to be doing this install at a later date.I guess that gives me some time to look around and find the fuse box and firewall grommet just in case. The specs are ...

Hardwiring a XM Unit... I need some power

I don't know how much power these units draw but I was considering leaching off something that exists as long as the load can take it OR just running another line off the fuse box.If worse came to worse I'd just run another line from the battery in and trigger it via a relay.Anyone know where the be...

Also depends on the shape of the TB. If there are a ton of rough castings and they are removed it can help to smooth things out. I doubt you will feel any increase and when I did this before to another car I did pick up a little but not enough to feel. Obviously this is just porting out one not goin...

Modding the Second Time Around

I purchased the Vibe to be a solid daily driver that has enough room for most applications and get good gas mileage. I do understand the basics of modding and fell into the "mod-bug" with a 2000 TransAm. One thing I seemed to learn while modding it is that some mods were a waste or not wor...

What if you just looked into getting a good set of snow tires instead of all the systems. It would probably do you better in the snow with a set of skinnier tires that were specifically built for snow and/or a set just for the summer. It may be cheaper than buying the systems and like stated above it...

I haven't had the vibe up past 80 yet. The WRX would see cruise speeds at 100 and the TA see's mid 120's at the end of the 1/4. I have a feeling I wouldn't be confident in the Vibe at those speeds. It start feeling like it is going to lift and that freaks me out a bit.

I would think that as long as you are seeing over 30 I wouldn't raise an eyebrow on these cars.If you are honestly trying to get the max mpg out of every tank then that is another story or even if you are modding it to increase that number. What are you all considering "good" mileage? I made a trip to Canada doing 80 with the A/C on and got like 30.X mpg. I've seen closer to 34 with just mixed driving no a/c and keeping the speed down to 65 or less. What do you think the max is?

I think the only thing you might feel is if you got a bad batch of "any" gas and it kicked you down into the lower octane tables. This assumes that the Vibe does indeed have those tables where timing may be pulled if it senses bad gas or knock.

(sorry if this is a dumb question)Is it wet because the injectors won't handle the need on the bottle or is that just what most people run? I assume the car still has a MAF sensor (??) which would read and adjust for the dry kit.

Anyone know if AutoTap (or any other ODBII) scan tool works right with the ViBE. I already have it for the TransAm and have the domestic version but didn't know if the Vibe would work since it it very Toyota like?Didn't know if the odb2 port would be the same or not etc.?

Depending on how much N20 you are running pump gas may not even do it. I'm not sure how much juice you can put through the vibe's motor but if you start running a huge shot you may be better off with a stand alone system running race gas (or maybe at least 100+ from Delta Sonic or whatever is availa...

If you used one of those I would also assume you may need to swap out the studs for longer ones to ensure enough contact on the threads. I still can't visualize the offset.
