I puchased a RoadyXT a while ago and had it temporarily mounted just running the wires through the cabin. It was driving me crazy so I decided to get all the wires hidden.I decided to mount the unit using the supplied vent clip and placed it in the vent to the right of the steering wheel. The unit was at my fingertips there and was not obtrusive at all. I had viewed the post about running the antenna through the roof following the FM antenna and did that as well (down the passenger side and into the vent)I bought a 12v to 5v transformer from XMFanStore (I had taken very detailed photos of the headliner removal, XM antenna routing from the roof through the FM antenne whole, head unit removal, hardwired power, wiring, etc. and just found out my wife formatted the card.... I am not happy at this moment)Here are the only surviving pictures from the other camera I happened to use. Before & After
Very nice improvement. XM is nice - cordfree XM is nicer. (sorry about the photos - that sucks. Unless your wife was out to get even... go buy her some flowers... )
