Mine does the same thing, not sure what speeds it is dominant. I usually drive with the radio on which masks the sound. It is definitly a power train derived noise as it stops when I let off the gas to coast. Tire noise would continue.

I have been watching my Scan Gauge carefully since I got it and have adjusted my driving habits acordingly. There is no doubt that the mpg improves at speeds less than 60 mph. I have tied runs of 50 miles or more at 60 mph, 55, mph, 50 mph and 45 mph and the 45 mph proves to be the best. These runs ...

The main point is reducing the speed 10 mph will potentialy increase mpg over 10%. That is something everyone can do to conserve. If one chooses to drive at high speeds they have no right to complain about gas prices.

I can make mine do it anytime. Starting at 35 mph, slowly acelerate to 40 mph and gently lift foot off acelerator to maintain 40 mph. However, I don't have more than about 1 to 2 seconds of hesitation. It occurs at other scenarios also when driving in the 30 to 40 mph range.

After studying the second 12 volt outlet location it is obvious why Vibe discontinued it. Why would anyone want an outlet INSIDE the console???? I think it will be more practical to get for me to get an aftermarket outlet and wire it (with fuse) directly to the battery.
