Re: Vibe's C59 doesn't come up as an interchange part for Matrix

The interchange parts list is wrong. The exterior and interior of the Vibe/Matrix/Corolla transmissions are all the same. Toyota upgraded the C59 when the Corolla got bigger after 2001, but didn't upgrade it more when the Matrix/Vibe was being developed. The bearings where not strong enough to haul ...

They might be the same!
On Rockauto I searched for the gas peddle sensor for both the 2009 (1.8l) and 2006, and they both show "WVE 5S14608" as an appropriate part. That part is out of stock, but since it shows up in both searches, it should work.

Welcome to GenVibe! I had a Progress Tech rear sway bar on my car. The stock bar is about 22mm, the Progress Tech bar is 24mm. In autocross situations with the bigger bar, if you are braking hard enough in corners, the car will pick up the rear inside wheel. Which is great for turning in these situa...

I agree this is a new recall.
The explodie materials inside the Takata airbags break down over time, and become volatile after about 10 years. We are at the 20 year mark now.

If GM follows their normal pattern we will see recalls from them in 1-6 months.

If you are not hearing any nocking or grinding noises, then the transmission is likely fine.

It's time for a clutch. Mine lasted 199k miles because I did a lot of highway driving. Most people need a clutch between 125-175k miles. Well done.
