I was at the dealer today looking to trade in my 03 Neptune Vibe.... The salesmen were just in the midst of changing the sticker prices down by 2000 dollars. What timing..........they ended up giving me a deal I couldnt refuse........ Gave me enough on the trade to pay off GMA C. Pick up my new 04 S...

Control Arm Bushings.......

Anyone else having a problem with squeaky control arm bushings when its cold? (Below freezing) At first I thought it was a strut bearing but I took into my garage at work and the squeak isnt coming from the strut, its from the control arm bushings. Its really loud and annoying so off to the dealer i...

Re: Slow Cranking on Cold Mornings Re-Visited (Pix Doc)

Lately its been -25 to -30 Celsius here and twice now I've had to boost my vibe. Even plugged in (block heater) it cranks over really slow. Correct me if I'm wrong here but should it not be up to GM to replace our batteries for those of us in colder climates??

Warm Engine Idle........

Think I have a problem with the idle, with engine warm and the Tranny in neutral, the RPM first stays at about 900 then after a few secs, drops to about 600 and runs real rough, really shaking the car. After a few more seconds the idle goes back up to 900 again and the process keeps repeating itself...

Foiling laser detection??

A guy told me today that to avoid getting a SPEEDING ticket from a laser speed detector, just glue 2 cd's together (bottom's out) and hang the CD's from your mirror. This guy swears by it, says he drives right by the cops doing 85MPH in a 50 MPH zone and has yet to be caught. Anyone ever heard of th...

Re: Vibe's Fuel Economy (NovaResource)

2500 Km's or 1500 miles must be the magic number where the fuel mileage really jumps. I just went on a 700 MILE trip this weekend and averaged 40.14 MPG . Previously I was getting 27/28 MPG. What a jump all of a sudden. And that 40 MPG was with me cruising 130-140 Km/hr thru some pretty hilly country.

I had that same very problem when I first got my vibe. IN my 2 previous cars, both Jetta's, to downshift to 4th It was almost a straight down pull into 4th. But on my Vibe I actually have to move it over towards the 3-4 gear more than I had to in my Jetta's.After some grinding and missed shifts, it ...

VIBE exported to Japan as a Toyota??

according to the NUMMI website, the VIBE is going to be exported to JAPAN as a TOYOTA called the VOLTZ. If TOYOTA is putting their name on it, we all got an awesome vehicle in the VIBE then. http://www.nummi.com/voltz.html

I think they have way underrated the amount of wattage the outlet will deliver. If I added up all the wattage of the items I had plugged in and in use at the same time it was 170 watts.

Thanks for the info but IMHO I think a seatbelt that keeps getting tighter and tighter and requires unbuckling while driving is definately a safety issue, especially concerning children in the rear seat. I'm gonna take it to the dealer and see what they say. Other than that I love my VIBE
