Hum- what a great band!Anywho, I've already replace my factory speakers but your're right- not that big of an improvement. What would be money better spent at this point; getting a Bazooka tube sub with built in amp or replacing the HU?
I don't really hear a noise but the wife says she does. The local tire shop said it was a bearing and the dealership confirmed with a listening device.
Thanks for the info. I've switched winter and summer rims for years and never new you had to be that careful.I see some of you are talking about replacing rotors. How do you get them off. An older thread mentioned that they are held on by an axle nut (which is what it looked like to me). Further is ...
I had the same issues, had the tires balances and rebalanced and finally found that it is a wheel bearing. I've got 50,000 miles on the car and it vibrates at highway speeds. Kinda disappointing, I thought Toyota quality would be better then this.
What mileage were you at when you replaced them? How was it, the last time I did plugs was in a '97 F-150. It was a nightmare- might as well of been a van.
Thats kinda what I thought. I've done pads before but never messed with rotors. Is that something I can handle or should I just take it in and have them do it all.
Wow is right. I feel like I should have earned 4 credits just by reading the replies. Unfortunately it doesn't sound like any of the cheap aftermarket items will help (thanks for the tip about the CAI definately not helping at the low end).
I've got 53,000miles on and the steering wheel shakes when you brake. There is slight squeal as well so I plan to do the pads but what does the shake mean?
I've seen some comments on this here and there but what are the best and most cost effective ways to add torque to a gt? Driving through the mountains of WVA last week the lack of torque was appparent, especially starting from a stop on hills.Thanks.
I've got a 2003 GT and it gets 29.5 pretty consistently, driving fairly hard (80 mph highway and city driving combined). Are far as I know the 2006 would be the same.
In regards to the comment about the Focus quality... I traded my Focus with 68,000 miles on it (for the Vibe and its Toytoa quality) because the transmission was going. Yikes.
Cool video. Here's a lame question. First of all where did you purchase your TRD CAI (that wasn't the lame one). Are all the CAI this loud? I've been eyeing the Injen but as this is our everyday car not just a race car I don't want something that you'll get sick of hearing on a 13 hour trip.
Does anyone have good installation advice/ pictures of aftermarket tweeter installations? I'll looked at older posts and have liked the tweeter in the "sail panel" idea.
I've been looking at old posts and have noted some helpful tips on lowering the interior noise level. What are some products you've tried? I bought some of that Duplicolor soundproofing/ undercoat $6/ can and it worked wonders. I was thinking about trying some carpet pad (cheap) under the spare tire...
Thanks for the tips but wiring is not in my vocabulary. I'll print this and take it to any audio shop unless you think it is really to do. This is how little I know about wiring: it doesn't matter that it is Sirrius not GM compatible XM does it?
Thanks for the tip on the Cosmo CAI. It looks like they are exactly half the cost but advertise exactly half the HP gain. If they are the same thing with different stickers, why the difference? Different filter quality? And if so is the filter interchangable with, say a K&N?
I've actually got those for winter tires and you're right they are great. The local tire store suggested the Hankook's for $370. The Dunlop's have life left but I think they're cupped.
