There is that type of block gaurd for the Hondas....I have never seen such a thing for the 1 or 2zz engine... If you are looking for 300+ at the wheels I would sleeve the block. if you do pistons....do rods.... as far as a/f I go about 12.5:1 for the street... it is a bit rich...-but is safe.. If you have pistons and rods you can see 250 FWHP NO PROBLEM for everyday driving.... stock internals I would say 200hp should be fine... just make sure there is enough fuel.quote:how...

yeah both cars seem to have an older crowd in my area... I have not seen another Matrix in the area slammed with 19" wheels... and once people see my car...they love it... it turns heads everywhere.

always happens...hot, cold does not matter... my guess is that when it is cold that it happens more often due to poor traction...

You should ALWAYS run the highest octance you can get... 92 94 whatever....If you are interested in performance, treat your engine rightif you run 87 with the SC good luck...even 87 on a NA engine will destroy it... have a look.... a 20,000 mile engine

it's called "wheel hop" most cars suffer from this.... it is normal...post this in the suspension sectionand you might get a clearer answer and/or solutions to the problem..this has nothing to do with forced induction.

Threw a rod Sat night on our 1zz project SO today I ordered a new block, rods and bearings. we were running on the highway and the boost spiked really high really fast and that was it. Threw the rod straight through the block. We are paying for the new block, rods everything. I'm just disappointed. ...

TRD plans to release the SC kit for the 1zz powered vibe/matrixboost is set at 7.5lbs and you should see about 180-190hp at the wheels!!! I believe that they are taking orders NOW!!!! who's ready to drop the coin and get some boost???

I think I will ad a pyrometer and an A/F meter scrap the A/f gauge.... it will do you no good... the delay is Toooooo long by the time it read lean.... your done. I would go with FP or an OP gauge instead... and a boost gauge for sure!!! If the injectors failed from too much pressure they would prob...

You should ALWAYS run 92 oct or the best stuff your local place has..... or your valves will look like this..... it is out of a prelude with less than 30,000 miles on it..
