Looks nice. I'd like to know what it finally costs, and what the end HP/Torque gains are. Did you get a "before" Dyno you can compare to the "after"?KSNeptune

Unfortunately, i did not get a "before" dyno, but I plan to get an "after" one , to see what hp is being put down in all ranges. Most of the street kits that this shop installs gives the cars roughly 50% more power, running boost at 7psi .The plan is to go for anywhere from 5-7psi in my vibe.--shooting for 50% more power.

Btw, not all the plumbing is hooked up yet , and the pictures are dark so it is hard to see what is what. ....as your lokking at the turbo in the back, the exhaust turbine side is on the left, and the compressor side is on the right. the tube across the top going to the left that heads toward the passenger side head light, is for the air leaving the compressor. the pipe goes under the head light to the intercooler which is mounted in the the front. the pipe on the far right -front is the one leaving the intercooler heading into the throttlebody...what was great is that only a mud flap was cut into on that last described pipe and also another flap thing for the pipe going under the head lamp...believe it or not ,if I was to put every thing back stock, those would be the two places moded that could not go back to original form if desired...........but wont be in this side vew pic, the down pipe is not installed yet. Im sure I can turn this photo of coffee filters over to someone as a genuineUFO sighting--its as good as any--Also, just as a warning, The black plastic "vvt-i cover" may not be going back on because it could melt along the back edges with the turbo being so high and close. It would be replaced with an aluminum one...it just seems so wrong ...but maybe it could be used as a coffee tray ....in keeping with the theme [IMG][/IMG] here is a better view of the coffee filters...a keen eye could tell size...maybe even "brand", or how many..? the winner gets the vvt-i cover!

just got a call from the shoppe, ..... they cant finish today ..I guess the heat shield did not make it out of another shoppe ... and the owner who knows the alarm codes went to morro bay for the rest of the weekend .....dashed hopes.. makes one sick... oh well.... btw, I saw earlier, but got no pics, part of the fuel management aparatus, It looked like a minerature of the HG wells time machine. It had a a fuel pump, pieces of a FMU, vacuum switches, check valve, fuel plumbing, all neattly bolted on to an aluminum housing,...and it looks like the time machine in the movie. .... all promising to never let me run lean under boost ... and to rid the morlocs from ruling the earth here is another [IMG][/IMG] pic of something else....

It is monday night, and still no car back I am excited to find out that my oil lines to the turbo arehard steel, instead of flexible. the finall snag in the projectwas that the actuator rod for the waste gate was hitting a nut on the valve cover....something like that anyway....it wasntlet the wastegate open up at times,..causing the boost to spike too high... not good..any ways..its not a hard thing to fix......so.........should have the car manana on tues...... here is another pic..of something...o yeah , its the IC plumbing goin under the headlight " BORDER="0">

I cant even post the pictures right, and now you ask for sound bite???BTW the turbo is done And it is so much fun to drive, I think I am going to start a new thread to show more pics, some dyno sheets to show that it puts 225hp to the ground,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and 217 #'s of torque!!!!!!!!!!!! that probalby means 250-260hp at the crank!!.. I am so happy the shoppe promised 50% more power, and came up with 100%......unbelievable! When the turbo kiks in...it is like a Disneyland ride!your head and body press back into your seat andd your suddenly thankful for the invention of safety belts ...its going into warp speed on a star-trek episode ...any way its a lot of fun!...not only that , but the car sounds different now...LOL it sounds sounds like the bat mobile... ...so anyways I will post more later....
