I know this to be true. I actually represent K & N, and have been to their headquarters in Cali. Their engineers personally demonstrated this to me.

depends on what car it is replacing. If replacing the vibe, then Mazdaspeed 3. If replacing the s2000, then likely something like the sky redline, or porsche. If replacing the viper, then TVR sagaris..

Re: (ANO_Vibe)

No worries guys. Let me know next time you are going to have a Vibe meet, and I will do my best to meet up with you. Thanks for the compliments. Each car has its own attributes. The s2000 is the most tossable, agile, go-kart feeling of them. The nsx is a comfy ride with good handling and great green...

This isn't the same garage. I moved from one place to the second which has more garage space. (which I definitely needed!)

Re: (AKLGT)

I don't auto cross the Triumph. Its still original, except for the aftermarket roll bar. Still the stock 1500 cc engine in there, still the same 4 speed + overdrive manual in there.. Its more of a weekend cruiser. It still has the original "Triumph club of Toronto" stickers on it!The Viper...

Re: (coldmm803)

I drive the Vibe everyday! I love it. The s2k was formerly mine, but I wanted to get rid of it. My wife wouldn't let me, so I sold her car and she drives the S2000 now. (not my idea of a great daily driver)Most of my driving is highway mileage, so I don't want to put that on the other cars, plus alt...

Re: picture of my toys... (Merzbow)

yes a triumph. Have had it for over a decade. Been restored, but probably needs another one. Its slow as (removed), but a hoot to drive. Lots of character. My bike is a Kawasaki Z1000. I looked at the Triumph speed triple (not the four). Its a very nice bike. Rides well. I just love the smoothness of...

Re: picture of my toys... (damronjr)

you have a cool toy.. supercharged! I drive the vibe everyday. I love it.. I almost never hit lift (have a GT) but its a great car with TONS of utility. I would get rid of most of the other cars before I get rid of the vibe. The only car I won't get rid of is the one behind the closed garage door.. ...

Re: picture of my toys... (damronjr)

damronjr- I used to live in Del Mar, but have since moved further north. ( I work in OC)VforVIBE- So I will assume you bought the autobox? 1 of the reasons I didn't buy the GTO was the crappy manual. (viper has an aftermarket shortshift) But I loved the room and interior of that car.

I will check the bushings. I can't think of it being anything else really. Other than this issue, I haven't had any problems with my Vibe. Love it. and compared to my other cars, this one has TONS of space and doesn't guzzle the 4 dollar gas.

On a side note, I am very familiar with cars that you have to downshift to get into its power band. One of my other cars is a Honda S2000.

I can certainly understand that if the car was going to shift point beyond its limiter, that it would not allow you to downshift into that gear. ie- if going from 6th to fourth would cause you to beyond the redline, then it would lock you out of that gear.Unfortunately, that isn't what is happening....

It is my daily commuting to and from work.I have been having a problem that I was wondering if anyone else had.Cruising in 6th on the freeway, when I want to make an aggres...
