I just spent some time at K & N's website and wow, I found some amazing info. They say it's a TOTAL MYTH about K & N filter oil collecting on the MAF and causing problems, at least according to K & N. One video shows them submerging a MAF in their filter oil, then re-installing it. Some fluctuating readings at first but within a couple of minutes of air flow REMOVING the oil from from the MAF, all readings returned to normal. Also, their tests prove that the air speed, in the air intake ahead of the throttle body, moves at a snails pace. Not much turbulance at 1 or 2 mph air speed.
