This wasn't intended to be a "wanted" ad, it was intended to find out what I should be careful of when going to test drive one... If someone could move it back since a Mod moved it here.
I would have the AWD components checked out with a mechanic prior to buying it... There haven't been any widespread reliability issues thus far, however a few here have had some noises coming from the rear end and ended up with differential problems back there. VERY costly, a couple grand to replace the differential, IIRC. Make sure the previous owner has been changing the fluid in the rear differential, not doing so is one good way to kill it pretty quick.Otherwise, just make sure the tranny shifts smooth and that the engine doesn't make a lot of racket. It should have had a coolant flush at 30,000 and a valve clearance inspection/adjustment at 60,000 but few ever do that service. Aside from that, there were a few odds and ends such as windows that bind/snap/pop when rolling up and down, water leaks, crappy stock CD players, etc.

It is from a Pontiac dealership. It is not certified since it has over 60k miles, but still went through their typical inspection process. It has navigation too. I test drove it and all seems good, though I think if I get it, I will be buying an extended warranty.
Wow! I just paid 10900 for an 03 2wd with everything except Nav. with 40k miles on it.Sounds like a pretty good deal if it in the clean condition mine was in.
Yeah, I don't see a single scratch or stain on it. But it has double the miles yours has almost. Edmunds blue book is $11,XXX for the Vibe I am looking at.
