I've a question regarding upholstry. My front seats are pretty dirty and I can't seem to get them clean. Mostly grime from work and stupid me spilled coffee on it once, and now theres spots I can't get out. I've tried Turtle wax upholstry cleaner but It does nothing. It's the can with the brush on i...

After paying more attention to the area you mentioned, I think it may indeed be that valve. I can here it modulate when I use a stethoscope and it makes a sound quite similar to what I here. It does come and go with different RPM. This is not something that was always there. I've owned the car since...

I'm unable to locate the sound as it's something I really only here when the car is cold and moving. It is a tick but a very fast tick. It really does sound like an electrical arc. Is the VSV filter the VVTi thing I've seen mentioned here or is that something different? Is the VSV something that is ...

Very strange pinging sound

I've been chasing this damn ping for a very long time and it's really getting to me. I've changed the belt and tensioner pulley. The damper is fine. The car pings when the engine is cold. It's nothing I've heard before on any car. It sounds a little like detonation, but I'm sure it's not. I get no c...

I need to change my rear bearings. The parts stores only have listings for FWD ABS and NON-ABS. There is no actual listing for AWD. Are the FWD rear bearings with ABS the same for both Vibes

It was doing this when I had the snow tires on so its not a tire issue thats for sure. Front end growl, not bearings.

I have a 2003 AWD Vibe. I just changed both front end bearings due to a growling noise thats reminiscent of a bearing failure. Anyway the growl is still there, it's not quite as pronounced as it was but it's still there and very easy to here. Any idea as to what else may be causing this? Could it be...

Do I really need relays for the door lock triggers? (auto starter)

Are relays really required for the door lock and unlock triggers? I've tied in to the wiring in the kick panel and there working fine. The wires in the kick must be dealing with the doors via a factory relay as it is. Are they not just trigger wires as well?

Well I found out the rear 5.25 speakers in my 6 CD factory unit were blown. I went and replaced them with 4 Ohm 6.5 inch units. I'm none to impressed by them. It's simple to reproduce. I just need to hit the brakes. If I'm slowing down very gradually from say highway speeds, just lightly depressing the pedal to maybe a 1/4 way down, theres no problem. If I push a little harder, so stopping with more power but by no means a panic stop, the rumble starts. I...
