03 to 04 ecu upgrade?

I've heard in some places on the forum that from the 03 model year to the 04 model year the Vibe GT was detuned for emission requirements.SO replacing an 04 ecu with an 03 ecu would lower the lift engagement and gain some hp back. Is this true or am I on crack, cuz I can't find the posts anymore. *E...

FlynHwian - '04 GT

FlynHwian's 04 Vibe GT This car turned out to be perfect cuz I needed a car that could haul a half stack and other band stuff. So it looked like for my price range, I was doomed to get an xB. All I could think about test driving it was "Where's the power?" But I spotted the Vibe at a Ford ...

Re: (BlueCrush)

Wow, I leave for a few days and my thread takes off, haha!Lots of great info guys, DJB: The hood came with a filter that fits in the hole where the hood channels the air, so it's like a short ram thats angled upwards. So even if I did cut a hole in my intake box the air would still be filtered, it j...

Re: Ram Air Hood or CAI: Which is better? (FlynHwian)

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I think the Ram Air probably is the best way to go.First of all I did do a search but there didnt seem to be anyone who wrote anything up about how their Ram Air was hooked up, it only comes with some tubing and an air filter so I'm not sure how this is supposed to ...

Tach Feed ECU Pinout

Just wondering which wire on the ECU is for the ECU readout.I just recently purchased a shift lamp and it runs best if you give a direct feed from the ECU and it didn't come with any wiring schematics. Now ive seen the ECU readout pdf file but im still confused, has anybody else put an aftermarket s...

Ram Air Hood or CAI: Which is better?

I recently purchased a fiberglass ram-air hood from SLP and it came with a functional ram air package and I was just wondering if any Vibe owners have installed this package. I am interested in putting in this package because I have an Injen CAI installed right now and even though the performance is...

Which cat-back system for throaty sound?

Hey everyone I'm new to the forums and my first performance upgrade for my 04 GT looks like it's going to be a CAI/Cat-Back combo but I don't want my car screaming RICE ROCKET!! or sounding like a fart can, which I know can be hard to avoid with a four banger, so I was wondering which of the catback...

Re: Hey everyone, New Member (Merzbow)

Wow, thanks Merz. That drop looks killer, but what does it change in terms of say driveability and ability to clear speed bumps/driveways?Also, how much faster did your car feel after you put on the CAI and exhaust? The Unichip might have to wait a while, cuz it's pretty expensive to do it right app...

Re: (zionzr2)

Alright here are some pics of my car after a nice wash and a half completed job of euro styling the front plate. The plate frame on these cars works really well cuz you can get the plate flush with the frame. Next is a frame to fit it. But my first mission is to get the windows tinted, especially si...

Hey everyone, New Member

Hey everyone, I just bought a used '04 Vibe GT w/ 10k on it. I didn't even know this car even had a GT model til I saw it on the used lot, and when I found it, I thought "I've gotta test drive this one!" This is my first new(ish) car after going through a slew of old, beat up, unreliable c...
