I have about 4500 miles on a full set of Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S. They handle very well and are very quiet. However, they do require a break in period of about 750 miles.

I finally got the creaking left rear suspension problem fixed. It turns out the bolts were loose on the rear suspension control arm.I tried 2 Pontiac dealers first, and neither could fix this problem. The problem was finally fixed by a Toyota dealer.

Creaking left rear suspension

I have a 2006 Vibe Base Model. I had a problem with the left rear suspension bottoming out. The dealer replaced both of my rear shocks. However, the left rear suspension still creaks a lot. Is this a spring problem? Is this a mount problem? Is this a bushing problem? My last car had the bushing prob...

Are the controls on the left side of the dashboard illuminated at night?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. On the 2006 Vibe, are the controls on the left side of the dashboard illuminated at night? I am specifically referring to the power mirror control and the gauge illumination control right below the left air vent.I am asking this because almost everything on the cent...

2006 Vibe without sunroof has maplights

My 2006 Vibe, which doesn't have a sunroof, has maplights. They are recessed into the rearview mirror. There are two switches for the two lights...one on the bottom of the left side of the mirror, and one on the bottom of the right side of the mirror.

Seats are decent for comfort, but my front passenger seatback is loose

I think the Vibe seats are decent, but they're not great. They are a little softer than what I would like, but I like the look and feel of the fabric. The Vibe seats are much better than the seats in other GM small car / small wagon entries such as the Chevrolet Cobalt, Chevrolet HHR, and Saturn Ion....

Can't use car charger in cigarette lighter outlet in 2006 Vibe?

I have a 2006 Vibe with a smoker's kit. In the owner's manual, it says you should not use the cigarette lighter outlet for powering devices such as cell phones. Of course, there isn't another outlet in the vehicle that can accept a car charger, only the household plug outlet. Is it OK to use a car c...

Opinions on Turtle Wax Ice Synthetic Liquid Wax / Spray Detailer

Has anyone tried Turtle Wax Ice liquid wax products? Since it looks like I'll have to wax my Vibe often in order to protect the poor paint job, I figured that this type of product will make it easier.Interestingly, there are similar products available for bicycles that have been around for years. Pe...

Cladding is popping off right rear passenger door

After 1 week and 300 miles on my new 2006 Vibe, the cladding is popping off the right rear passenger door. It popped off in the area by the right rear wheel. I tried to push it back in, but it doesn't want to stay in place. Is this a common problem? Should I tell the dealer to order new cladding for...
