Re: Ventalation system is making a weird knocking noise. (Fredrick_NP)

Ok, it wasn't the filter. That sponge looking thing above the filter is whats ticking. It moves.... but only when the air is set to come from outside.I tried making a video but there isnt enough light, and my camera doesnt have a lamp.

Re: Ventalation system is making a weird knocking noise. (MrDoopey)

Well it seems very mechanical. It's weird.Ill clean it out though. Do you have to take the glove box door off? How do you do that?

Ventalation system is making a weird knocking noise.

When pulling in air from the outside, it makes a consistent knocking sound about once every second. I opened the glove box and there is this sponge / filter like thing in there, and that seems to be the source. You can feel it moving. It keeps retracting and snapping back (which is when it makes the...

Washer fluid not working for front wipers...

When I try to use te washer for the the front wipers... nothing happens. You can't even hear the pump going. At first I just thought they were frozen... but it's been warmer so I don't think that's the problem. Is this a common problem, and is there an easy fix? Or is it likely this is somthing that ...

Bugs not coming off front end.

My mom's Vibe is from back when they first came out, and I don't think the front end really ever had a good scrub. Now the bugs aren't coming off. After regular auto soap didn't work I tried dish soap and even windex in a small spot. It does NOTHING. It's almost like they fused with the paint. Anyone...

Re: New rotors? (nygiantzz1)

Our dealership called and said its going to be ~$180 to replace the front brake pads, and smooth oout the front left rotor after parts and labor. Is that about right or should we go somewhere else to get them fixed?

Can't figure out how to remove rear wiper assembly...

I saw a guide on how to replace the rear wiper blade on this site... (while ago). It said something about to remove the part that holds the blade, you have to lift the arm up, and then turn that part clockwize, or counter clockwize... lol I don't remember. But thats not the point... I did it in both...

What is it that makes that high pitch sound at high RPMs?

Like ~4,000-6,300 RPMs it makes a cool high pitch noise.... almost like a hum. Im not being very clear, but if you have floored your car you have deff noticed it. Im just curious as to what would be making that sound... rather it be the engine, trans, or some other part. (Btw im talking about the ba...

How do you replace the rear window wiper blade? (Im not so smart)

Do you just buy a new refil? Im not sure how those go in or out. I have never only replaced the blade itself.(And if you do need a refill does anyone know what size it is?)

Huh? Are they still making the supercharger?

For the base Vibe. I googled "Vibe Supercharger" and I found it odd that no one was selling them. Do they even make them anymore?(And if they do how much is it to buy one?)

Re: How much does the supercharger Help? (damronjr)

By takes forever do you mean it stays in the gear too long, or it takes too long to switch from one gear to the other?I deffinetly have noticed that it likes to stay in the low gears for a while, but the actual shifting time seems just fine.... (even when you step on it)

Re: How much does the supercharger Help? (damronjr)

Oh man, whats wrong with the auto?I hate manual. I suck at shifting, and it always just ends up faster if I let the car do it for me lol. Does it have trouble dealing with the extra power, or are you just saying that as a performance aspect?

Re: How much does the supercharger Help? (mcgusto82)

For the base? The GT I know has an amizingly hight redline up at 8,200 RPMs. But im pretty sure the base Vibe's redline is down around 6,000... Which seems to be a tiny bit on the high side. (Compared to most cars)

Re: How much does the supercharger Help? (Sunny)

Meh... I dont like the look of the newer vibes anyways. And premium... Its only like 10-20 cents more lol. With gas being so expensive it really doesnt matter.Oh I noticed something else.... It says the HP for that supercharger is ~170 @ 6,800 RPMs. I thought the base vine had a Redline of 6,000 RPM...

How much does the supercharger Help?

I don't actually have a Vibe, but my mom does lol. The idea is once shes done with the payments she will sell it to me. (Although im not so sure if thats going to happen, seeing how much she loves it).But anyways. I love the car, and I love driving it, but it seems a bit weak. How much would it help...
