What is it that makes that high pitch sound at high RPMs?

Like ~4,000-6,300 RPMs it makes a cool high pitch noise.... almost like a hum. Im not being very clear, but if you have floored your car you have deff noticed it. Im just curious as to what would be making that sound... rather it be the engine, trans, or some other part. (Btw im talking about the base vibe automatic)

Air noise as it passes though the intake. After I put the Short ram on it does not do it the same way. It sounds much Better.

It sounds better?... Is is a higher or lower sound then before? And is it louder then before?

The high pitch is gone. A deep throaty engine sound it there now
