My beloved Vibe is toast.......

Sunday was a day I won't soon forget. I had to make a run to church in the afternoon, and when I got finished there I decided to take the back way home which leads through the country since it was a nice sunny day and I was enjoying the air. I came around one corner, and there was a whole field on ...

First time in snow.

Well, here in Central Indiana we got about 4 inches of snow yesterday.I hadn't been able to drive my base 2005 vibe in the white stuff yet, so I didn't know what to expect. I traded a 2003 Dodge 4x4 with mudders on it for the Vibe, and I figured I'd be in trouble this winter. I have standard tires o...

Yes, I've rechecked them all. I didn't know if there was some way to reset it once it came on. I guess I'll have to take it into the dealership. Sheesh!

I need help.

Hello everyone. I apologize ahead of time if this isn't the right place to post this. I wonder if someone out there could help me. This past weekend, my "tire inflation" warning light came on, and I immediately went to the station and checked the tire pressures. Sure enough, one was down a...

Gas mileage isn't good....

OK, I've owned my vibe (base) for a few months now, and I've kept good records of my gas mileage. Folks, I'm lucky if I can get 300 miles per tank. I'm not lead footing, I try to keep it under 3,000 rpms, and I've tried with air and without. It doesn't seem like it matters. I've seen some posts in h...

Annoying seatbelt tone

Ok, first of all I DO NOT ADVOCATE NOT WEARING A SEATBELT. Trust me, wear it. However, if you are like me and HATE that annoying seatbelt warning tone, here's a link to try. I have a 2005 base, and it took me about 3 minutes in the parking lot at work to turn the thing off. Don't know if it works on...

Remote Starter

Hello again folks! Quick update OMV (on my vibe). I did the ac insulation mod, and it worked great.....almost too good....freezes you out on high. Also, I had a remote starter professionally installed on my Vibe. I don't know why I didn't do that with every car I've owned. It is pretty neat. AND, th...

I saw on CNN last night that some stations in Georgia were charging almost 6 buck per gallon. I saw the sign myself. After this is over, I think they should go after those price gouging crooks.

HELP!!!!...not had the vibe 1 week yet and I got a problem

I've got a problem, or at least I think I do. Whenever I run my AC, my windshield fogs up something terrible. I mean, I can't see out of the thing. I have to turn off the air, turn up the heat, then turn on defrost. I'm serious, I actually have to run my defrost in the summer. I did the AC mod menti...

New Guy!

Hello everyone! I'm the new guy on the block. I just bought my brand new vibe and LOVE it. I've already put 150 miles on it and haven't even used half a tank of gas yet. I just got rid of a Dodge Dakota 4x4 and it only got around 12-13 mpg. I'm in heaven. Oh, and so my opinion so far:Pros:mpgBOOMIN ...
