I have this option..only $55 CDN a year and worth it! There is also a new theft detterant program here in BC. The police apparently have developed it to combat organized auto theft. The dealer scans a barcode into each peice of your car. I have no clue how they do this!The barcode is invisible excep...

There are 2 factory options for alarms. One with a fuel immoboilizer and the other without. My dealer wasn't aware of the fuel immobilizer, even though it is in the brochure!

I need chains for the "just in case" situation. We don't get much snow in Vancouver, but sometimes I like to drive into the interior or over to Whistler on the spur of the moment and would like to have some chains just in case

Just a comment...I would NEVER call any car "pimpin". This word should not be used as slang, the implication is horrible. Pimping is not cool, it is sick, manipulative and illegal. Sorry to vent, but it upsets me how many people use that word so casually.

Going camping this weekend...aaah natural hot springs! Anyways...looks like I will be able to put a kid's single bed foam mattress in the back of my Vibe. Unfortunately, when folded down, the back seats don't meet the front seats. But that gives me room to fold in the extra 1 foot of the mattress do...

My dealer quoted $595 CDN for a system which includes a fuel immobilizer. Paying the extra for that is worth it as having the fuel immobolizer decreases insurance (in BC anyway).

They fixed the rattle ! Apparently the lock chamber thingy was loose. I didn't really get into it with them, I was just happy that it was fixed! I can get the details if you need them though...

I noticed that some of you are waiting for Vibes in Eastern Canada. There are quite a few satellite, neptune and salsa Vibes on the lots out here. MOst are automatics or fully loaded. Check out gmcanada.com and punch in the postal code V4C 3C6. Not sure if this helps.

Also, the dealer ensured that it was never purchased or leased before and stated that the 500 km was due to a sales guy driving it from one dealer to another. I am also trying to get the warranty to 60,500, apparently there may be a limit to that.

I also advise you to call GM. I did and they were very helpful. It also is a bit of ammo at the dealer to have some facts about the card, I have found that most car dealers are ignorant in this area.
